  2. Same problem as above, Steam [community] - installed exe's from X:CE 0.31r2, I have a problem with steam_api.dll not found Edit: (I've copied dll from other game. But I still think this should be noted [it works with this other DLL, but on clean install it was missing])
  3. Three ways: Using launcher: Modding tools->install new mod Extract into game folder, specifficaly: Assets/mods/MagFromVenthe/* Just overwrite: extract everything into Assets/
  4. Here it is - completed mod Grubo, i've decided to slightly bump up specularity and color - 20% less dark - to closely match original. It's still darker, but not as much as before. Fixed blend in some places... And done. Now... Carbine or Rifle?
  5. So here it is, first from it's line - MAG Weapon Visual Mod. I have started with Precision rifle, as it was ugliest for me. I've took following approach: It is NOT a sniper rifle - it is an DMR suited for asymmetric warfare. Distances in Xeno don't justify scope - but ACOG (Up to 6x) should do well. Another thing is iron sights - in case of ACOG malfunction, they are there - just folded. Sleek, not bulky - First things first: scaled down in height Function not look - I've decided to make small modifications which are taken directly from current weapons. Rail attachement system, real scope and real grip. Slightly modded handguard to give a support for static position (Like in W2000 rifle) Thanks to Ichthyic: Way longer barrel - longer means more rail for projectile to be accelerated. It's better, trust me Thanks to Gurbo: More gritty and used look - with which I have to agree completly. Even if MAG is a peak of Human-xenos weaponry, at the point we have them, the war is almost over for us. I doubt they worry about chipping on paint when they should be at mission every day. This is only a visual mod, and only a Precision Rifle for now. No stats are changed, mod loader should work fine with it. And it includes Xenopedia image Ps.   6. Okay, based on your input... Third iteration. Matte finish, toned town, contrast decreased on scope and sights... More polished in general. Ah, about the iron sights - as I treat this as DMR, Xenonauts need to be mobile, and their weapons functional - I've decided to add them, but foldable. Personally, I use Endersblade's Modified Precision Rifle, but MAG is supposed to be more advanced and more suited to assymetrical warfare. Scope is suspecible to be broken, but now... Just detach it, and you have functional weapon.
  7. Hey I'm under way of making a visual update of MAG weapons, I've started with precision rifle. Generally goals are to make sleeker weapon, but not really sniper ridle - more like DMR, as ranges in xenonauts are never as close in real sniping situations So, is there something you dislike, you would suggest, or should I polish it and release?
