Pinetree
I use JSGME for mods, lets you swap mods very easily. You just have to remember to roll back the mods before updating the game, which is one mouse-click. Gauddlike
Nice I'd not seen that. I am not a big mod user in general so it passed me by.
Pinetree
I've just updated for 9.4. Link is in the first post. Enjoy Edited September 22, 2012 by Pinetree removed old link
winterwolves
Hey pinetree, have you applied this mod to 9.4 and played yet? I put it in, then could not kill any aliens. Now I have verified the install, and I can kill aliens again. Is there anything you change that might cause this?
Pinetree
Hmmm, dunno. I just test to see if the game doesn't crash when the characters are generated. This mod shouldn't affect gameplay at all as soldiernames.xml hasn't any game stats in it and strings.xml is just that, strings of text. You didn't muck around with the armory program by any chance? You might have changed something there?
winterwolves
No, this is the only mod I had done. I noticed that my changes to the number of civvies had not been reset by the updat, then when I verified, they were reset. Perhaps I just did not get a complete update or something. I'll reload this mod and check again.
winterwolves
So, what about all those files in the assets folder in the zip? Are they not required for the mod?
winterwolves
So I copied all the files again, and the aliens are invulnerable again.

Gauddlike
The zip in his link above (#53) only has two files in it for me. There is no assets folder in that zip file.
winterwolves
Hmm... I wonder where that assets folder came from? Now I have had a look at the two zip files I have downloaded there is no assets folder in either of them. But my Xtended soldiers folder had an assets folder from somewhere? Maybe I did some fat fingers stuff somehow. Sorry pinetree for making your mod look bad for something I must have donemyself.

Pinetree
Update for 10.0. While using another editing program I found a bunch of special characters that slipped through the net so I've corrected those. Voidfoam
Could you make some Swedish troops also? You could use the kongo crisis as battle experince. Both fighter pilots and soldiers were involved in lethal and violent fighting there during the sixties. 9 battalions were sent to Congo and 6000 Swedes did service. Both special forces and ordinary troops.
