Downloading the latest version of xenonauts.

I just pre-ordered the game and downloaded it using Desura. i think im playing v8 though there seems to be a lot of bugs that have been fixed in the game, and when i load it up it says v8 rather than v8.3. 1st impressions are still amazing though.

The splash screen when you load up the game is invariably out of date. Before it said V8 it said V2 I think.

Yeah, pay no mind to the first line of the disclaimer screen: as of a few weeks ago, it used to present the latest build as Pre-Alpha V2, (carbon) dated back to February 2010.

The swiftest way to put your concern to rest is to take a glance at the difficulty uniforms when you start a new campaign: if they look, uhm, uniformly sharp, you're rocking with the latest and greatest version.

Yup, I probably forgot to update the front page - if you were playing V8.3, you wouldn't have been playing it for very long before it dumped you to your desktop. I'll be releasing another update over this weekend and hopefully I'll remember to name it correctly this time!
