Maybe just reword it as if a slightly worried scientist was reporting to his superior and felt more comfortable paraphrasing.

One soldier reported that in his opinion the pellets were of less use than flatulence in a strong breeze against the Sebillians.

The sergeant who provided feedback suggested that the use of pellets against Sebillian troops was akin to urinating into the wind.

A returning soldier who declined to leave his name declared that if he was asked to carry pellet munitions into the field against Sebillians again not only would he lodge his protest through the correct channels he would lodge the pellet shells in a different channel.

I think more importantly, Chris has not yet replied to you.

I agree with your suggestion. Descriptions should be sci-fi writing. Xenopedia could contain actual game meaning in separate area, I think mouse-over should provide this as well on the various screens.

I wish I could have some input on this stuff as well! As a biologist, I find myself cringing at some of the descriptions (examples: description of Caesan sex chromosomes and the research description for Alien Biology)... I mean, it's no biggie, and it's not to say that the writing isn't good (because it certainly ain't bad AT ALL and it's chock-full of good ideas) but it would be AWESOME and would absolutely nail the setting if all the science and historical discrepancies were rooted out.

At the risk of sounding like an arrogant turd, I am more than willing to volunteer my time and expertise as a trained molecular and cell biologist to help out with the scientific and historical plausibility of the descriptions.

Biologists dont know really anything of anything in the first place. Physics are the only true scientists :P (just teasing, theoretical chemist myself)

What if someone is a doctor (M.D.) who majored in physics in college? I knew my life choices would come in handy one day :).

I, also, would be happy to help make the autopsy reports seem more authentic, if such help is desired.

Majoring isn't the same as graduating in physics is it? But yeah that is damn impressive, Codus! Had in my old research group a Mathematician that also had a a MSc in Biology and PhD in Chemistry. But an MD with a physics' major is sure as hell a different bird altogether :)

It's not as impressive as it sounds, lol. :) I knew I wanted to go to Medical School and I wanted to challenge myself instead of majoring in Biology or Chemistry as most Pre-Meds did, so I chose Physics.

I did graduate with a B.A. in Physics, then off to U of C for Med School (any other Stanford Cardinal/Univ of Chicago alum here? :) ).
