I love the ambiguity in the OP: "These are the available mods" and "if the mods like it maybe it'll be stickied."

Awesome list, by the way.

How would one mod the game, by the way? Would the mods work on the Mac client?

I choose a mod you want to install, download it. Then click forum post next to the download box and it should give you instructions on how to do it. You will have to probably find the game file and copy paste some stuff. It's not rocket science but I can see some people having trouble with it.

Unless the download is in mac then it won't work, unless you can find out what the mod script says and type it out yourself.

BTW I'm really looking forward to modding the crap out of xenomonkeys, it's gonna be like XCOM all over again.

Until they get the mod folders working, usually it's just a case of pasting the modded files into the assets folder.Some mods will go into other folders within assets, check with the mod description first.

Would the mods work on the Mac client?

I don't see why not, most mods are just modded xml files and/or .png art assets. You might have problems with mod programs like Quartermaster's Armory though..

Sneak peek: the mod installing/removing process is going to be simplified (yup, even easier than copy-pasting files in a folder) with the new launcher, so users won't risk to overwrite the original game files and they can always go back to the vanilla game..

Is that similar to the way it was previously, where you would put your mods in a mod folder and select them from there, when starting a game? I think that's what I recall anyway :)

That system was never removed, thothkins, was just moved under the "options" menu! :)

Hi, yeah the medals are nice there. I'm working my way through posts I've missed in the last couple of weeks and adding a few mods as I go from there. Once done, I'll just gut through the mid and map sub-forums and update. Huge thanks for posting, as I'd hate to miss one.

Good thotkins! nice thread! Now i can finally know what mods are present and what they alter.

I'd like to suggest one thing: compatibility is a bit of unclear. Some older mods can still work with the new builds, some aren't. How about the color coding or just "working/outdated/abandoned" badges?
