pre ordered of website, doesnt appear in desura, and desura wants me to buy again

Title says it all, is this common? i payed the 20 bucks, and want to play, so any help would be nice, thank you, just joined up:)

I'm having the same problem, it used to work on Desura for me but now it's asking me to buy it again. Obviously we can just use your link and download it but what if we want it to work on Desura again?

I think I had this problem too, but if I remember right all I had to do was right click on the game in their list and tell it to verify my files, then it updated everything to the latest version.

I think this is something best raised with Desura unfortunately, as I have no control over this. They seem to be having a few issues at the moment (I know they're trying to patch them) so perhaps you got caught up in that.

Is it trying to tell you to buy the same version you already have or is it telling you to buy the other version? premium preorder and regular preorder are different (but identical) games to Desura..

Just be sure to keep the original purchase email to prove you bought it!

joined uptoday as well, found out about xenonauts from the fraxis forums while waiting for Xcom to hit.. desura wont validate the file so wont install and tells me im not connected then asks me to buy again downloaded the stand alone verson but still looking and waiting for the desura Fix.. seems im not the only 1

Look and see if there is a drop down in the BUY menu. I clicked the down arrow and it showed me the regular pre-order and the premium pre-order. After I selected the Premium Pre-order (the one I paid for) it didn't have a problem with update, etc...

wow, a dev actualy responded, my problem is that i bought it off the game website/ desura website, and cant even install on the client

Anyway, you mean you can't install it on Desura? How does it exactly go on? I have had trouble updating game on Desura, but it usually works after several tries. Or if update is small.

As long as you bought the game and have a Desura you can try the standalone download. Save yourself some frustration and go that route, trust me it's less painful.
