This is a grammar quibble. The first screen seems to be missing an apostrophe.

I'd have tried to incorporate the sell/ transfer options into the main box, to minimise the amount you have to move the mouse to complete the action. Possibly in with current funds/ value of sale?

That was my first impression too. Until I realised that those buttons on the left are menu buttons and not actual functions. I.e. there is no sell button! =O

Yeah no sell button on that mock up.
It could be that the artist is making a statement regarding the modern consumerist society and how people would not be able to function if they were unable to buy and sell goods.
Or they might have forgotten it.
