All i can say about Kicking it Forward is, Brian Fargo usually tweets a link to the project to his 7500 followers and i believe a few of the gaming projects also had raised funding beforehand.

Yes, aparantly naughty xenos kidnapping schoolgirls is a nono judgeing by what happened to tentacle bento. (there it was tentaclemonster of possibly terran origin, but I assume aliens are just as bad)

PS, on a more "serious" note: Some vocal malcontents has a problem with how the kickstarter is beeing handled. They like the project and they would pledge... if it weren't for those darn stretchgoals that means we can have a bigger/better/morepolished game! Curse those Goldhawk for not just takeing the extra money and stuffing it in their pockets!

Lock it in a box with some metaphorical radioactive material and it will be dead and alive at the same time.

I pre ordered a long time ago, I now get more for my pre order than I was going to when I originally paid so I'm happy.
I doubt the KS will go massively higher, mainly due to the really interesting pledge tiers (names and pictures in the game) being necessarily limited in number and vanishing pretty quickly.

There should still be a steady stream and another spike at the end.

It's also possible that Chris will move some of the unused pictures from the highest tiers down to 200-300 tier near the end.
