[9.4 Geoscape] Research still broken by save/load

I have researched everything I have found after a bunch of scout (and light scout) missions: Power source, alenium, alloys, pistols, rifles.

The tree has reached the end. I never got the plasma weaponry one after the pistols and rifles were done

I had saved and loaded the game.

I have got alenium warhead though, and alien grenade.

I didn't check but even when research isn't in progress save could broke research later?

I also got the alien grenade. But no Alenum research. I tried removing the requirements in researches.xml but the game didn't like that one bit. Might have to chat with Gorlom on how he went about it. Or was it Gauddlike. I mix the two.

I invited allenium missile and my fighters was able to use them. I had also something with plasma pistol screen. But after production nothing appeard in soldier inventory screen

Like the alenum grenades then.

The research tree is still broken [v10], and I can confirm that it does not matter if you load with research actually in progress. If you load at all you cannot get the plasma weapons one after pistol, rifle, alenium, power source.

Try to never save a game...U will research everything

Yeah, but this makes the game pretty broken for any gamer who cannot invest a four hour stretch.

I've had the same problem. All the prerequisites are met but no laser weapons. I have checked the researches.xml file in the install folder.

I'm sure this is caused by save/load, but I haven't enough time to test everything in a single stretch.

The problem is still present in version 10.

had to remove pre-reqs to get wolf armour and lasers in game to test them out.

Cannot get them to pop normally no matter what i do

Does anyone know if this happens when you save manually, or when you load? Testing an iron man run atm.

In V10 the automatic save games are already broken.

This bug should be fixed in press build otherwise players will not able to research most of the stuff. Im pretty sure that everybody makes save )

Absolutely- this seems like a big one!

I'd love for this to be fixed asap. Hard to find hours to play in a row for me

The only way I've been able to do it (get as far as laser weapons and wolf armor) is by leaving the game open and doing ALT-Tab to go back to Windows (I use the computer for work among other things). Sometimes I can only play a little at a time so I'd just switch back to Windows until I had some more time to play. Unfortunately the other day I was pretty far along and I had to reboot the machine- I didn't bother to save since I knew my research would be hosed upon loading.
