winterwolves Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 The dead xenonaut sprite was replaced by the standing sprite when he was hit by a missed shot from the sebillian. He also cried out in pain as he was hit. As you can see in the picture, I can path through him, so he is not really there. Quote
jimbobfury Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Yeah, I've also noticed corpses of all types (civilian, alien and Xenonaut) block lines of fire, as if the character is still alive and stood up. I've never hit one with weapons fire though, so I've not had this happen yet. I assume it's a bug that corpses block shots, and not intentional? Quote
Matthew Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 I could reproduce this, but my guy didn't stood up. Quote
stx Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 (edited) Same bug for me. The soldier was killed during a ground combat turn by an alien. Next turn I send another soldier near the dead one to kill the alien. The alien fires using reaction fire, misses my alive soldier but hits the tile where the dead one is peacefully resting. The dead soldier comes back to life. Lazarus soldier, I'd call him... It is neither selectable nor usable. Check the screenshot below. Had the soldier been alive, then the rounded cursor would be green instead of grey It happened to me in version 9.5.1 Edited May 1, 2012 by stx Quote
Matthew Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Okay it stood up. I think on my first try it missed the dead body. Thanks for the report. Quote
Nuttss Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 I had this happen on 10.1 yesterday as well. Missed shot hit and already dead xenonaut, he stood up screamed and laid back done. All he was missing was saying "I'm not dead yet". Quote
winterwolves Posted May 11, 2012 Author Posted May 11, 2012 Perhaps this is part of the unconsious mechanic? They are not definitely dead until they reach -20 hp? Quote
MrPyro Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Perhaps this is part of the unconsious mechanic? They are not definitely dead until they reach -20 hp? Possible but unlikely; I suspect that death calculation isn't done until the end of combat. It's more likely that the code that checks to see if there are any people hit by a bullet aren't checking for that person lying down. Quote
