aajs Posted July 27, 2015 Share Posted July 27, 2015 I am having real problems with this. I am trying to make a medium drone recoverable from its wreckage....(yes I know it blows up into tiny bits). I have the graphics right in the geo scope the pics plus the loading pics and weapons blah de blah. However when I go into ground combat my medium drone does not show... I think my folder structure is all good as I see no sprite as opposed to the sprite from the "none" folder. Has anybody done this who could give me some tips..... I have checked myvehicle_spectre.xml and the entries point back to my .png files but no success... Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
kabill Posted July 27, 2015 Share Posted July 27, 2015 Difficult to tell without seeing the files. If it is present in ground combat but has no image that's almost certainly a spectre issue - perhaps you've not set up spectres for the weapon types it can be equipped with or some such? SoulFilcher Posted July 27, 2015 Share Posted July 27, 2015 Are you using a new spectre or the medium drone's original spectre? I'm using the light drone as a 1x1 vehicle in my mod and it works fine. Max_Caine Posted July 27, 2015 Share Posted July 27, 2015 One problem I do occasionally run into is the game won't make the sprite if I've misspelled the weapon name even if I've done something as dumb as put an invisible character in. As one example I was testing an item that should appear in the inventory screen, but it didn't until I changed the name to something it understands as an inventory item like weapon.grenade.medipack Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Thanks Max, that really helped, I had a vehicle xml but somehow forgot about all the other xml's. e.g anim_squareofdoom_mg_idle_ne.xml I should be okay now. Thanks so much.
