Buyable aircraft

I have a new aircraft and its set as an airplane in items.xml. In aircrafts.xml I have set the flag to buyable but I cannot purchase it in the game.

Any ideas?

Its very weird because it used to work in my old mod before CE edition and modular mods.

but thanks for clearing that up at least....I guess It will have to be manufactured now.

And about planes, armour is not working for now and counter weapons only fire against "Mixed" weapons and if there is more then one bullet at the game from same counter weapon, game crushes..

So there can only be one buyable airplane right now? I was looking at adding in other airplanes that would exist around 1979 that you could buy at the start of the game.

You can just make everything manufacturable from the start and even have 0 days to produce.

So as we cannot make additional aircraft purchasable, we might as well make none of them purchasable this way.

I am going to remove the purchase aircraft button from my hanger screen and add the two starting planes in the manufacturing view from the start. Then at least my mod will look consistent.

From a narrative perspective, you could label them as refits - the purchase of the craft plus appropriate modifications to combat spacecraft.

Only thing is removing the aircraft purchase option is slightly harder than it sounds.

I the hanger view if you click an empty slot there is an option to purchase a plane.

I want to find the place holder for that and delete it, so you cannot see the option.

Its not a big deal.. but i think you need to look LUA files and at right file, you can delete that..

I have just fitted my chinook up with pivoting machine guns so that it can enter air combat.

Its really fun cos without assistance its a sitting duck. But with an escort it makes quite an exciting airbattle as you have to try and keep it from being targeted. Tempted to add a missile slot but think it would unbalance it.

Regarding the LUA file, I was looking at it, however cant seem to find the placeholder, I am wondering if its hardcoded.

LUAs are a decoding progress if you are not much experienced (like me)..

You should give chinnok a counter missile weapon..
