If I recall correctly pre-release version had a sight range bonus for being on higher ground, why is it removed ? It's ridiculous, and a sebilian standing in open field, with bad eyesight as xenopedia says, can see and shoot at my hovering soldier with a bleeding edge headgear on, but not the other way round.

I'm all for hardcore xcom, but limitations such as this look to me like punching player in teeth just because "xcom:eu is for wussies, we be making real xcom cuz its hard hurr durr, and yeah we make computer cheat to know your soldiers' exact location and remaining action points because it's cheaper than to program a half decent AI"

Anyway, is there a way to get LOS at least as long as of aliens' ?

The vanilla game got some standarts, sometimes more then enough.. one of this alien race sight range..

Aliens dont know where you are, if you dont begin to fight.. they goes to sound too.. different aliens got different detecting ai..

You can change this sight range things with little modding, or you can try other mods.. if you are a hardcore x-com player, you can try X-Division mod..

Is the "sebillians are bad at long range" a myth or something? Because to be honest, I've experienced as many casualties from long range sebillians as I have from any other alien, they dont seem to have any issues shooting with their "termal vision" (and since they're much tougher than all aliens to fight, they get more opportunities to shoot). Also, is the sight range of sebillians any different than other aliens/Xenonauts guys?
