OK. I may be retarded but...

I've been playing up to Medium UFOs. Can't seem to catch any UFO with Condors... How do I get the next series of Fighter jets to keep up?

how do i get the "Armour Penetrating Spear Weaponry" i got it on my first attempt but i haven't gotten it as an option on my second what do i need to research?

also is there a use for Praetorian corpses?

U need to capture sebilian weapon specialist. U don't have anything with that corpses.

I cant seem to get it run with CE .32 the game starts but any time I try to equip my soldiers it crashes or crashes when I try to go on any misssions

Be sure that u install all.. 0.98 then 0.98.1 then 0.98.2 then hotfix 4

Yes it needs CE.

could you make a tech tree with required captures marked? it would greatly help with making sense of it.

The second install worked, I think I got a temperamental 0.98.1 zip file during the second install I got a CRC fail, but upon extracting it a third time it worked

Uploaded a colored version

grey - capture, collect, get from ship disassembly etc.

yellow - knowledge to research manually or researched automatically

light blue - unlocked for manufacture

light green - unlocked item (no need to manufacture, like clips)

red dot - AND relation

multiple arrows towards a node - OR relation

If you move the mouse cursor on a node or arrow, you will see the internal name of it. This might be useful if you know some details.

im having a problem where occasionally one of my troops will become marked as an enemy and dead even though they are perfectly fine and shown on the map. and xenomorphs keep going invisible after they stop moving. you also cant load missiles into rocket launchers on the equip screen at the base and the mec armors keep reverting do a different model sometimes on the base screen.

also what do i have to do to get the ability to disassemble landing ships?

edit: is it possible to turn of beserking its bullshit. one of my troops just outright kills another for no reason and then i have to reload until it doesn't happen. it get worse as your weapons get more powerful and it doesn't get less frequent. basically its not fun it doesn't add any challenge because everyone reloads after it happens. take a way a turn fine but don't have my veteran mec suited sniper with 100 kills and max rank turn around and shoot my other veteran sniper in the head for no reason.

edit 2: the shield model doesn't show up with the advanced stun baton

Hmm that bugs are strange. I will look them. But I know that the bug about your soldier is not about mod.

Just go aiprops.xml and delete all berserk. In x division folder.

I'm having a problem with terror missions. the terrain textures are all missing so the entire map is just black.

also i figured out the losing control thing. the aliens can apparently just take control of one of your troops permanently which seems kind of unfair.

There is something that is bothering me very much... The rules of line of sight seens not to apply to the aliens when it comes to grenades. It seens they can just sense my soldiers nearby even when there is no possible way they can see them. It sucks when I'm trying to lay an ambush and an alien throw a grenade from the other side of the wall even without seing my soldier there...

Open aiprops.xml with notepad. Look at the values and you should be able to figure it out. Its not hard. As a hint, make the cost high and the change low, this will make them never use it.

that's a vanilla bug i remember it from early beta. aliens can just through grenades through ceilings.

If there was a single link, you would know it.

Yes, please make a single mod entry so we don't have to download every version and re-install every time we have to do a re-install.

Its not so simple. It's not steam or any auto update system. I cant upload 2 GB everytime i made a patch. Downloading 4 files rather then 1 is not a big issue, if you count my work on this mod for months..

I think i woke up from my bad side today..

It's totally about the map packs you use. At CE topics it ws mentioned and as i remember scitso repaired it. I think you need to update your CE or map packs you use.

I don't mean to go off on a rant here, but let me just clear up my thinking.

When you say "It isn't hard," I actually agree--after the fact. Initially, however, when I was looking, this is how psi and/or berserk abilities are presented in the game:

1.) You hear the ding/see the circle around your soldier

2.) Your soldier THEN does one of the following: Panics (does nothing), Breaks (flees), Goes Berserk (Shoots), and there's a couple other.

When the game presents it this way, and because I'm not familiar with how to mod Xenonauts, I don't think "Oh, Berserk is an alien ability," but rather I think "the alien's psi abilities cause my soldiers to panic which IN TURN may cause him to go Berserk.

Now I do appreciate your hint, and I realize afterward that I should have put 2 and 2 together to figure out "make the cost high and chance low," to figure out that Berserk was a psi attack, but again, I'm not as experience or familiar with the modding or the game itself as you are.

Again, after the fact/becoming more familiar with the aiprops.xml, I understand how simple what I was asking was. That being said, when giving advice, you can't assume that everybody has complete knowledge/experience editing xenonaut files.

(Two posts in and this guy is already going off on rants...what a $@#$)
