Thanks for the new update Drages. So far it looks great, however much faster indeed at least from when comparing the first 1.5 month of game to-date. Is there a way for me to alter the ticker to its previous 0.4 value? I have no clue where to look for (document and line of command) :P

I don't know if it will apply after game started or not but it's at game config. XML look for your difficulty.

PROGRESS UPDATE:

To be honest, i am a bit bored of modding.. but i think its normal to work so non-stop for months.. and its better for you to finish at least without restart :)

The game is something in the middle.. i mean CE and main game versions still at progress and they got little but important bugs.. like 0.32 AI freezes.. and there is tons of new things will be added to game thx to CE coders.. this game wont die at least for 10 years..

So what do i do now?

- I am working Geosphere UFO spawns now. We are using Kabills dynamic ufo spawns as X-Division but we are playing at half speed. So this makes some different missions like terror sites and base assaults more unique.. So after i rebuild everything about ufo spawns, the game will be long again but with more special missions..

As i need to give an example, you see first landing 3. month at cruiser at 4. month at a normal game.. but at X-Div you will see them landing at 4. and cruiser at 7. month.. this gives a long break at ufo type spawns..

- I will edit the crew of the ufos too. You will see "soldiers" at landing and a bit upgraded versions at cruiser. So you will get new items to researchs at very ufo spawn.. so the 4 tier we have now will be about 6 or 7..

- So as i said the terror and base missions will be much more.. at least 1 per month.. but as my project to give special aliens/items to this missions will make you happy rather then sad when this missions happen.

- I am still working on totally new air battles. Crazy weapons and ufo/plane combinations will need crazy control abilities like controlling gundam mechas with 99999 guided missiles, cannons.... :)

This sounds all good Drages. Maybe you need a few days break from modding, if only to have your mind dwell on other things?

I got tons of free times these days when i am not at work.. my wife is at their parent out of the city because of some special reasons (she is pregnant and need much more medical attention with better doctor where we live.. so not bad reasons :))..

I got some android games to follow and some animes i watch.. other then these, i dont have anything.. and i dont want to lose my free time for nothing.. i like to create something at my free time..

It is me again. Been quite enjoying the mod.

Got a few things to say. I am playing on normal and I do save a LOT.

One: Dear god Androns, unless you have lasers you are really gonna have such a hard time. If it was not for my NextGen Sniper hitting his shots it would be near impossible. I at times would despair at fighting Androns. I did not know when lasers were going to come. It only became a lesser challenge when I got the Lance stuff which brings me to point two.

Harridans and their obsession with flying. Their obsession with hoping a few feet of the floor no matter if the shot that turn or not made it that there was so long before I got one of their weapons. I went 3 months without the good stuff until there was one dead on a Landing Ship Crash. It would be nice if flying guys when killed don't splode but that is a game engine thing I believe.

The third and final point: Why do my shock sticks occasionally gib aliens. It is hilarious to see but still. I think excess stun damage should not do that. It frustrating especially when used in conjunction with Shock grenades. The nades seems to increase the chance somehow. They also gib aliens too. I assume they do that so Stun grenades stay relevant.

I got one crash, one bug, and one freeze to share.

First is a freeze at a alien base(Andron, every single damn one is Androns. Never took the first one because it was impossible.) in which I put a Shield Lance Laser through a teleporter, takes fire, fires two back, tries to return, and it freezes on the pad. I circumvented by just not doing that. Got save.

Second is a crash on a landing ship crash site. Everytime I open a Sebellian Warrior(I think they were Warriors) inventory a crash occurs. After experimenting with the bug and finishing the mission I believe that is was because of the Sebellian's using the Vindicator rifle(Spartan laser thing). Only those that had it when I tried to open their inventory to loot them crashed the game. I think that the were not supposed to have them. That mission was the first encounter with those rifles so that I how I figured out what it was because it was sent to the labs. Have the save.

Third: Andron Hub and Sever dudes only have shadows. It has been very consistent. It is quite annoying having thin air shooting you. Do they not have sprites or is it a actual bug? Have save.

Playing full up to date patch and Xeno CE HF2.

You should have lasers before androns but I will balance all resistances soon. Still androns needs energy weapons to kill..

Can't u catch any Harriman on ground? Do u kill them always with reaction shots?

I couldn't understand what u tried to say about stun batons.

The alien turn freeze is a ce 032 bug. Seb warrior looting is yeah a little bug but can u list me which weapons did u get after that mission? So I can check them.

New androns got their sprites ofcourse but for an unknown reason you can't see them. So u never saw them? At least at alien or ur turn? So maybe I could forgot something and I will test it soon.

I am enjoying the mod but still have niggles that annoy me.

I am not sure on the damage ratio, but one of my snipers did over 17000 damage to a unit with reaction fire?:eek:

The vidicator minigun (I believe, game crashes every time I try to search the guilty alien) is too accurate and looked into the files and I saw it had 120 accuracy.

It is annoying when a round goes by and 20, I assume in two bursts, bullets perfectly hit its target at 10+ squares, especially when shooter is a sebellian where one cannot use anything to prevent the pin-point bullet hail.

Also looking at the stats and saw the alien weapons are generally very good and just swapping out and using them would generally function better than human weaponry even with the accuracy penalty (alien sniper rifle having a shot mode with 180 accuracy at 40 range) o.O

I suppose it is my RNG but I swear that caesans with sniper rifles are more accurate than harridans.

I don't know how bigger UFO's would be but the psionics are even more annoying (xenonauts having max 45 bravery to start with) as there is a hallucination or some bad thing happening near constantly (made worse if there is two caesan officers who have area mind control effects), makes me especially weary of these battles as I have to game the system to not kill my own units before reaching the UFO (traveling with weapon in backpack and dropping weapons) this is made even more threatening with the emerald-coloured xenomorphs (makes me wish that there was a personal line of sight to the psionics.) - it encourages me to shoot down the UFOs for the lucky chance of the crash killing them.:rolleyes:

Something that I personally would like to do and please ask to where the files are as I can do it myself is to make the plasma cannon (alien rocket laucher) no-reaction fire as a ceasan will always reaction fire the thing.

I biggest one having this caesan with two specialists in a landing ship 2nd floor control room and having it reaction fire killing a specialist I have been trying to capture for over a game year :(.

Understandably I shoot all the UFOs down I can and quite a few choose a watery death to my detriment but it is annoying to be stuck without alenium explosives and have the opportunity snatched by a twitchy caesan with a big gun.

I generally get as far as the Lance lasers, Direwolf armour, shock weapons and in one case got basic plasma weapons or first 2nd generation tank (aka scimitar), but I struggle to get Alenium explosives (which I assume are from second generation specialists).

That said playing Ironman veteran (and I see myself as an average player) makes things stand out more, but I will say that I generally get through the missions up to landing ship with mostly success (had a few squadwipes) and I struggled and pulled out from the cruiser I attempted as I was sniper pinned with a wraith and caesan at LZ and was rushed with xenomorphs and decided to pulled out when the dust settled when I had only three xenonauts left (having killed 14 of 21 aliens or something)

I hope my feedback is not completely bad and I am just providing information that I personally not enjoying.

Also asking for any help to ease some of my issues as well :)

Addition to other forum members post:

I also do not see the andron hub units either, which according to the Xenopedia are purple.

Harridans are hard to capture outside as they are always on the high ground and one needs to bait them off its position to get them on the ground (can result in death of decoy xenonaut: highly likely), likewise if one is lucky one can find them in a ufo and not on top of one :P

The aliens exploding like a high explosive hits them when stunned with a stun-stick them seems to be an original game bug as I have had that happened to me with another mod before and the response was that it is something the original game does which I believe is more apparent with the stronger stun rods. I believe one still gets their "live" subject after combat though.

Ray, i want something from you.. and from all players.. i sadly cant pinpoint the buggy weapon. You are checking every alien, so please look into the xdivision/weapons/alien folder and see all the weapons. One of them is the buggy one.. so it should be one you didnt meet at the ground combat.. just look at them and tell me which one is missed from GC lootings..

However I have a bunch of questions and requests for you.

1) If you give me a list of the alien weapons not showing up on soldiers after pick up I would create a c++ program to create the folders and files in the right place

2) Is there any way to remove Xenomorphs from the game? I don't like them, because in my opinion they ruine the X-Com sense of game

3) I have a bug for the Seeker Vehicle, with the words and description not aligning in the form (I see only the lowest part, I'll send you a screen if you want)

4) I think you should open a donation account on paypal, I think many of us (X-Division gamer) would like to donate you something to help you in some way

I did not have lasers for the first 4 encounters with Androns. Be mindful that it is my first time playing and it is on Normal not Veteran. My problem mostly was that except for the basic Androns was that they required a great amount of firepower to down and one can't just take all lasers, Harrians are resilient to ballistics and one could face be facing Caesans. Basic lasers do help a lot though. It went from a average of two turns of shooting to kill a andron to about one turn.

Can't u catch any Harriman on ground? Do u kill them always with reaction shots?

Harridans never like to have their feet on the ground. If they can for me, they will always be flying. They fly, they shoot, and fly again. I cannot afford to wait around for them to make a mistake and land while one shotting(Dang snipers, I hate them so much.) my guys. Hell, I had one trapped in a corner of the map with no cover and he still refused to land.

Like Ray said, Stun Sticks sometimes cause alien to turn into meat chunks, never happened to me in vanilla with Stun Sticks or Shock Grenades so I though it was a mod thing.

With my own testing like I had said in the post it seemed to be the Vindicator Rifle which seems supposed to be only for Androns.

It seemed that I was mistaken in saying that it was warriors, actually there were soldiers most likely. There was only 3 corpses that caused that crash to happen so math would indicate that it is either the Matergy Cannon or Vindicator Rifle.

I also did that check you asked us to do and I don't see anything obviously missing but I would not know is there was any missing.

Never had a problem with the Vindicator Minigun.

I never ever see them regardless of turn or anything. The only thing that appears is the shadow, however I can shoot the just fine. It is just weird shooting air.

A little to add onto what Raywalker said, it is quite scary with Alien Reaction firing with cannons. With my first Alien Base assault a Andron Officer with a Ion Cannon was the most horrible thing ever that I have encounter. It stood off in the back of the Control one hit killing anything that even as so much as moved a step. Even my high reflexes pistol user as soon as she took a step and instantly killed. I threw 3 cans of smoke infront, never did anything except after 30 minutes of reloading and trying different things it missed by one square nearly killing my Shield user allowing my to deal with it and the other 3 enemies there. If the Alien Cannons(Any type, Ion, Plasma, etc.) weapons don't have a Reaction penalty then they should.

1. All the weapons rather then default plasmas are not shown.. you can get the all alien weapon list at weapons_GC.xml..

2. Xenos do that to some gamer, i accept. I used them to fill the "melee" alien part of the game.. You can manually erase it but this will make sebillian missions much more easier. You need to go ufocontent folder and erase all the xenos from sebillians ufo files..

3. A SS big a very nice..

4. I made this totally free but little donations always would be good and gives me more power to work :)

I made huge mistake at research chain.. Thx to ray i figured out.. alenium explosives should be just available after powersource from scouts.. but i made it reactor so it goes to upper tier.. same time with plasmas.. it should ruin all the game balance for sure..

I checked the code of stun batons but they dont have any overdamage command to make some one liquid :) i will try to overwrite if there is something like that.. but this game's code is acting weird sometimes..

New androns sprite coding is wrong as i checked.. i didnt update all of them it seems.. i will put it in this hotfix too..

Whoot the hotfix! It kinda sucks to start over but at least this time I won't have to be taking on landing ships with basic explosives. I began recently never taking frags due to uselessness. I was thinking that I had to take a cruiser to get Alenium explosives.

I did not know who to capture for what and how it worked so getting lasers was very delayed. In truth he was dead most of the time until like the 13th UFO.

I get it for the Stun Batons. Will the Advanced Stun Batons be using a sprite eventually(Maybe sharing the Stun Baton sprite) or will the Xenonauts keep staring alien in unconsciousness? Same thing for using alien weapons. It is kinda of cool though to see my Xenonauts looking like they are casting Fireballs.

The thoughts I was having about that Sebellian weapon bug is that they are using weapons that they are not suppose to have.

Aren't Vindicator weapons supposed to be for Androns only? This is only assumption on my part because this is my first playthrough.

Really looking forward to playing the hotfix campaign tonight, thank you a lot for it.

I am interested in helping with the lore. I see that loading screen tooltip(So useful, I struggled with money until I learned I could sell disassembled UFOs for cash.) quite often and I have gotten interested.

I have had a CTD with Sebellian Warriors on search with at least Vindicator Minigun and/or Vindicator Rifle as I received them as "loot" from ground combat in victory screen(ignored corpses) but recognize weapon sound from Androns using it and I can remember with previous version picking up androns weapons (haven't been that desperate against them yet).

The issue seems to be a bit more serious as there is a whole chain of researches would be blocked
