Yeah I meant energy as in a measurable strength either in joules or in newtons, no matter how tough you are unless you're wearing some heavy duty protection no living organism should pass a certain threshold when it comes to resistance.

I mean, you can pretty much deliver a fatal blow or a killing blow with a shotgun to an elephant if you're close enough (if he doesn't stomp you to death lol) but for some reason xenomorphs, caesans and sebillians are like "Oh so you spent 3 turns calculating how to get close to me to put the cannon in my mouth and pull the trigger of that shotgun 1 tile away? well I have bad news for you either".

And lol yeah I'm just using rockets and flamethrowers and C4, I'm losing lots of alien tech due to everything being blown up but it seems to be the only way to keep a decent ratio of enemy casualties vs xenonaut's ones. And yeah... they resist a grenade, a frag grenade thrown at their feet ;_;

I understand you but no you cant kill an elephant with a shotgun.. probably he wont even feel it because shotguns dont have armour penetrating bullets.. even they are mostly non-vital weapons.. but you are right about to give something to count shotguns after you come to an alien so close.. I got an idea. I will make shotguns shots decrease alien TU.. so even you cant kill it, he wont able to fire or move..

Frag grenades destroys enemy armour even resisted.. You dont need to get all the loot.. Did you bring one alien grenade to base with u? or a flamer weapon? Did u catch a weapon officer alive? These are very important things..

I know your starter weapons are weak.. but i dont want to make them more powerfull.. its lame to see aliens get down easily at a invasion..

As i said if its so hard, go for normal.. if normal is more balanced, i can change the stats with those numbers..

I meant if given the exact same conditions lol in the rare scenario where you wanted to kill an elephant and you had the chance to put the muzzle of the 12 gauge next to its skull.

Thing is that as of now we have to concentrate a LOT of firepower to take down any single aliens. So far I have been only able to take one caesan non-combatant alive, after having to suppress him every turn with flashbangs till one of my "baton guys" got close enough to show the guy some love.

Could you make the batons less bulky? is it just me or they should be 1x3 instead of 2x3 in the inventory grid?

Also, xenomorphs are the best trolling alien units ever, with their humongous amounts of TU's they calculate your unit's combined cone of view or field of view, hit you once or twice and then run and hide in the spot that none of your xenonauts can reach. Dude they're smarter than me... it's starting to hurt my feelings hahaha.

i checked the alien armours.. this is caesan guard:

<Armour kinetic="5" energy="25" chemical="12" incendiary="6" />

kinetic is only 5.. nextgen rifle got 20 dmg. Caesan guards hp is 75.. it means 4 rifle bullet is enough to kill a caesan.. i dont understand where the problem is... and this is veteran..

HOTFIX 3 is UP

Sadly, i found a big mistake at researches.xml which stops your aircraft chain at beginning.. i figured out when i was working on xenopedia. Probably you all researched Air torpedo and it gave you wrong thing.. i was very sure about researches.xml before launch but a little wrong step can ruin it..

I made some additions with your feedbacks.. continue testing!!

Good news, there is nothing wrong about your download or files..

Strange news, i checked the files and tried some tests.. yes at your save i could t see the "warrior xeno"..

I restarted game and made an attack to a light scout full of warrior xenos. After i go out of the Ufo i saw them ad we fight.. at next turns there was no problem, just some frame missing.. then i wanted to take ss and started the game with steam.. the aliens was there but when i finished my turn and aliens played, again they were invisible.. i restarted game and the result was same.. Then i opened my save "before" the GC and started the GC again.. i played without any problem but again when i restart the game and load the GC file, the warrior xenos get invisible again..

So if something works sometimes and dont work sometimes, there is nothing much to do..

There is 2 solution for this:

1. Never, ever, reload when you fight against them.. (Ironman ftw)

2.i can handle this to add an info about this aliens to the xenopedia "They have very good camouflage Technic which can hide their exact view, only a hardly visible shadow.." and we are all fine :)

Fresh pack of surveys. When non-combatant caesan throwing grenade he becomes blue=) Also caesan technik red on ground. And xenowarrior sometimes becomes invisible (check crouch sprites).

Non combatant caesans nano suits becomes blue to give to strength to throw grenades further, caesan technics suit is red because of blood and xeno warriors got camouflage skill.

Noted for next hotfix.. u just missed hotfix 4 with 10 sec.. :)

Xenos cant crouch .. i still cant figure out what is wrong as i said just few post ago.. but i like my "color changing space suit" idea :)

I take alien gas grenades from ground, open ufo door and make gas chamber for them=) Soo pics for alien grenades in throwing menu is missed.

So tactical and brilliant idea!.. to be honest you can use this to catch alive aliens faster and much easier.. very nice idea..

i cant disassemble , thats the problem , i think that save file is bugged i just restarted , i know i must sound like a broken record and im not trying to act like a asshole but

shotgun = the range would be ok if the melee enemies were not so resistent to firearms and getting in close to the other aliens means death because you wont kill it in 1 shot to the face and moving in more guys to shoot at him means a grenade

rifle = , the range is bad, the chance to hit is bad, alien standing in the open you fire 4 guys at him you land a few shots but they dont do enough

machine guns = damage bad, range bad, chance to hit bad, if u move they are useless and the chances of a alien just moving into your line of fire is very low

sniper= 1 shot a turn so dmg is bad , chance to hit is 50% if the target is completely exposed and you don't move

so ive changed tactics , since all the weapons are preaty much useless i changed everyone to a shield dude and i just throw grenades at everything , unfortunately it works way better then actually shooting , the aliens are also throwing a lot of grenades but you are very likely to survive 1 grenade and my chances of actually killing them are way better since theres a preaty good chance that the grenade will do dmg , about 3-4 grenades will usually kill a alien

OK.. first of all, please dont hesitate to say your ideas here.. you are testing something with giving your time..

Again i say:

1. Your started weapons and even nextgens are "crap"..

2. Ranges are all bad.. i took the ranges way down.. aliens too.. but cannons and snipers got double range and heavy weapon are between rifle and sniper..

3. They will miss.. because your soldiers are crap and that weapons are crap...

4. You can change tactics, use another things.. shields, smokes, vehicles.. even as pandi did, take their weapons and fight with them.. this is the start of invasion..

5. You save is not broken.. the research chain is: caesan/sebillian navigator (yellow caesan)-alien light scout- alien disamble and for technical things: caesan/sebillian technicer (green caesan) - alien power source - alenium.. i checked and the ufo crews and i saw it if you are unlucky sometimes you cant find a specialist for a while so i busted the numbers.. now you will see many specialist at scouts and light scouts..

6. If u spam 2 good shotgun shot to any enemy, it should not move at next turn.. if even u shot an alien with 2-3 times and alien just wanders like nothing happened next turn, please REPORT!

7. You need to understand the game calculating.. Just spamming shots with same weapons are not so useful.. Fire some rifles and 1 grenade then finish with sniper..

8. Stunning specialists and stealing enemy bombs and using alien stun grenades to themselves are some key factors at this mod..

Hi,

A new bug :) When I select the Hand Cannon to manufacture, the game exits immediately.

Also there is a #### named vehicle weapon. And some manufacture causes the UI bug again. Please do not use special characters in item names...

Please name the "some manufactures".. i erased special characters but maybe some left.

Found that characters.. but i couldn't find #### weapon. If i can get it i will fire the hotfix 5!

i have a problem i have a next turn freeze after applying hf 4 in light scout Ufo (i hear some xenomorph/reaper yell after some defenders sohot them and then freeze

It can be the game bug which ppl talk about. Endless enemy turn with reapers.
