phantra
I mean...the sprite files in the game folders consist of one single PNG file...how does the game break it into parts and play it ? it kinda buffles me at the moment
kabill
Each sprite sheet has an associated animation xml file which has coordinates and dimensions for each frame so it knows which part of the image file to use when playing bits of an animation. It's worth noting that by default the unit sprites are archived so you won't be able to see the full sprite sheets (and some are shared between different weapon classes anyway, notable pistol/shield combinations). phantra
I see...I guess adding new ones is not as easy as I originaly thought.
kabill
Probably not. Max has an (unfortunately unfinished) project making a new armour type; he can probably tell you more about it than I can.
