No tittle image and no play button

I had downloaded some maps from the forum and when i launched the game it said that

cant load image assets/launcher/play_button.png does not exist.

Which maps and how did you install them?

Those questions aside, try reverifying the game in Steam (I don't know if there's an equivalent with non-Steam versions).

That should have worked fine. Indeed, even if there was an issue it shouldn't emerge until loading ground combat anyway.

Are you using any other mods? Other than that, I can only recommend revalidating/reinstalling the game as that should replace the missing file.

I've had the exact same issue with the same message before, and it had nothing to do with any map packs. Validating the Steam files, as noted above ^, fixed the problem

I launched the game from the launcher and it seems that it works fine.Expect the the faces of the troups is invisible in the backpack menu and in the barracks

Have you reinstalled/reverified yet? It seems like you're missing some game files for some reason.

But if i launch the game by the launcher and not by the exe will it still load the extra maps i installed in the assets?
