That actually sounds kinda funny, it's so out of place in this game where one misfire can mean the difference between killing that rocket launcher alien (Screw aliens with explosives, >.> Me and them have a beef), and losing half your squad.

Of course this is something I know mostly due to the fact that I am severally under equipped, or at least I was, I'm at the end of march and I just got plasma torpedo's and laser cannons, Oh and I just researched plasma weapons for my squad.

...Haven't used them yet though, but I imagine they will be excellent, >

I think this is fixed in XCE (and therefore will be in the incoming update) but in v1.09 if you use a Fury against an escorted UFO, it will pop one of the escorts and leave the main ship undamaged. (That's one heroic little fighter.)

No, it's only the Fury as a result of how the singularity torpedoes work. All other fighters resolve normally.

...Ya know what, scratch that, I think a nuke in this game would be awesome, one of the countries is overwhelmed by ships, like 4-6 in one area, so you nuke them, resulting in a high civilian death toll, and a loss in relation, but the UFO's are destroyed all at once.

Maybe not the most useful, but that'd definetely be cool for immersion.

Really??? That could change a lot of things, and make X-120s much more workable in the scheme of things (cough FTD cough choke)

Hmm - I'm wondering now whether there was just a conversation about fixing it and not an actual fix. Cannot at all remember now. It would be useful if it was fixed, though, yes (although part of me quite likes the brave sacrificial fighters throwing themselves in harm's way).
