  1. I guess its time to strength train those soldiers then. Not too particularly fond of this change but whatever I can deal. Thanks for the quick response.
  2. You are kidding right? edit: Why is that the new standard then cause I'm used to the old/vanilla way of things.
  3. Honestly, after you finish whatever you are working on now, I wonder what you guys could do with say, the Jagged Alliance series. Just saying.
  4. Notice a thing here? This is turn 1 of a UFO mission and that soldier cannot possibly fire their weapon with available TU. She cannot fire her weapon because the game gives her the full TU bar and removes TU because of weight. Ending the turn and hoping that it refreshes to max does not happen. From my experience in the past the way it is supposed to happen is the adjusted TU from weight caps your TU Bar even if you have a higher TU stat and the % of TU needed for attack adjusts with it. Should the soldier drop sufficient gear to gain more of its potential max, the TU bar would increase appropriately. This does not happen. HOW TO REPLICATE 1. Load CURRENT SAVE to start from the GEOSCAPE so you can play around with soldier equipment. 2. Launch SHRIKE 1 from CYPRUS base to any of the two current downed UFOs. 3. Play the game and see things for yourself. With the current loadout, the Heavy Weapons soldier in the screenshot above cannot fire her Scatter Laser ever without lowering the weight. Mods used in this save: X:CE 0.32HF3 steam branch. Includes Lore+ 1.1c2, NewCars, Khall's More Portraits, and Khall's Tundra Tileset active by default. I also added 0.33 with all its files to the mod and was hoping that would correct things and it did nothing. You'll notice SKITSO's alternate ranks and oppressive UI in that screenshot, thats what did the trick. Hopefully that fixes things. I'm going to try the regular stable branch instead and see if thats a thing there. The save was made during a clean X:C3 0.32HF3. CURRENT SAVE.sav CURRENT SAVE.sav
  5. I always thought of him as the space pope, look for someone in white armor.
  6. Oh no, when I say clean I mean I uninstall via steam then I GO BACK to the steam library and delete the xenonauts folder which has the leftovers. I made my mistake not doing this the first time when I just wanted to get oppressive UI by itself working. edit: Can I ask you what exact steps would you do assuming clean install like I did to get these working. Maybe the order I'm pluggin in the mods and copying them over is an issue. FiTH pack before Oppressive UI and vice versa before putting in the patch. That sorta thing. Just saw this.
  7. Hey I'm literally gonna have an aneurysm. I cannot for the life of me get this modpack working with skitso's oppresive UI, even with the patch. I'm trying to run Community Edition. This is what I'm doing off a clean install. 1. Put in Skitso's Alternate rank images and JSleezy's fighter portraits/armors aka cosmetic shit. 2. Extract the FiTH file and drag its assets folder over to my games assets folder and overwrite all the things. 3. Extract Skitso's Oppressive UI into my assets folder then apply the patch linked in the OP. 4. Start up the game, make my first base but when I go to equipment and try to say grab a medpack it won't even load the list. It'll pause then crash out immedietely, every single time. I had this problem trying to combine these mods and others but I figured it was cause they were incompatible. Now I'm stuck, what do I do?
  8. Version 1.07, clean install. List of Mods I was trying to run at various stages of this before I flat out just gave up and decided to just run vanilla. I'll describe the problem after. The Short List Major shit Skitso's Oppressive UI with the Addon Minor Shit Xtended Backgrounds Mod Skitso's Sleek AI Turn Skitso's Megamix Map Pack (note: never had a problem using this in vanilla so its probably not this. Time Units First Xenopedia Entries for Upgraded Aircraft Weapons Cosmetic Shit Skitso's Alternative Rank Insignia (Never tried it before today but its a cosmetic change, that didn't seem to work as far as I could tell.) Skitso's Femonauts, figured I'd try it for the sake of completeness Jsleezy's Real Fighter Portrait Pack, never had a problem with it before so doubt this is why. JSleezy's Real Armor. Again never had a problem with it, doubt this is why I'm having an issue. Other Shit I tried to add into the whole package before I condensed down to the above list Community Edition http://www.goldhawkinteractive.com/forums/showthread.php/10912-v1-06-X-CE-v0-21-By-Our-Powers-Combined%21-Some-Combined-Modpacks Skitso's Oppressive UI Community edition version with the addon http://www.goldhawkinteractive.com/forums/showthread.php/4798-Mod-True-laser-beam The Issue When trying to start a new ironman veteran game using all these mods after a clean install, the game will start up like normal. Whilst creating a new role (Garrison) for the people who aren't on a Charlie at the start of the game I notice the following things. 1. There are duplicate images, the subdued icons cause of Oppressive UI and a blurred orange version for all the icons. 2. It may crash me out if I dally on this step a bit. Even if I don't crash out, lets say I make the class I want to make and am trying to outfit my dudes/dudettes. I give them a Rifle, some ammo, and around the time I'm trying to give them a medkit the game locks up for a second and then dies. It dies every time. I had a bunch of other mods but I condensed down to the list posted above. I have deleted and reinstalled xenonauts repeatedly, I've had a vanilla backup ready for whenever I did this and its been like two hours. I was hoping to step up my game this playthrough and try the game with some mods besides the basic cosmetic shit like the jsleezy portraits/armor mods. I did get oppressive UI to work in the past during short playthroughs and noticed absolutely no issues with it. Quite frankly I'm stumped. Either I screwed up troubleshooting this or something is up with something in this combination. I'm gonna sleep on it but if anyone can help me out on this I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Update: I guess my troubleshooting methods were a bit jacked up. Simply uninstalling from steam and pasting over isn't a clean reinstall. Purged with fire and reinstalled the following mods in teh following order. 1. JSleezy portrait shit 2. Skitso's UI/Sleek Turn shit/Map Pack 3. UI addon 4. JSleezy armor stuff Thus far it seems to have solved the problem. Eventually I'll explore with other mods to see if I can incorporate more mods in. I guess this thread was for nothing then, feel free to delete it if its worthless.
  9. Got an alternate download link? Cause I don't like the look of that site.
  10. Yes I am using steam, also what you just instructed me to do is what I actually did previously. I just beat the game so I'm gonna start fresh when a clean Install and try that. Is there anything else I should try? Edit: Scratch the above, clean install and using skitzo's config worked. Thanks a bunch man for this by the way!
  11. I'm trying to get this to work for me and it doesn't seem to be working. Specifically I'm replacing the images as the instructions say in the comments on nexusmods for this Download the armor and place it in it's appropriate folder. Make sure you back up the file before you replace the original (in case you want to use it later). Example for Wolf Armor: C:/Program Files(x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Xenonauts/assets/soldierimages/armour.wolf You will also need to do the same for the female armor located in the "soldierimagesfemale" folder. For the install information (copied from xeno-mods site) I do this, its good. Then I start up xenonauts and the results don't seem to apply there. I even started a new game just to see if it'd apply then, maybe its my old save? No go. I'm also trying to get your Real Fighter Portrait Pack to work and Skitso's Oppresive UI. What am I doing wrong?
