  1. I've been in the same situation a few times, and it just gets annoying. Having spent ages either just camping, or running around the base like crazy (inevitably getting shot a few times) I have just given up and reloaded the game from before the mission. I've stopped playing on IM mode because of various balance issues and bugs (aliens seeing/shooting through walls, etc.) but if I had been I'd probably have started a new game as it is that frustrating. Xenonauts is extremely fun and addictive, but seemingly never-ending "hunt the last wraith" situations just make it fall flat. The game no longer feels challenging, just broken. In outdoor daytime missions, wraiths are a great gameplay addition, forcing you to watch your back constantly, and it works because your team can scan a large area and so spot them. In the confines of a dark base it doesn't really work. As for possible solutions, I'm not sure - maybe make it so that the distance a wraith can teleport is related to the number of turns since the last teleport, so if they're teleporting every turn then they can't move so far. Or impose a minimum turn limit between teleports. Or maybe make it so they can only teleport to a location that they (or another alien) can see. Sorry Taking214 - I didn't mean to hijack your thread, but I'd actually been considering creating a post about this before, and it's interesting to see others have the same problem.
  2. Just started a new game, having been completely obliterated in my previous IM game. The first mission that appeared was "Local forces have downed a UFO", in either Cuba or southern tip of Florida. When I went to deploy the Charlie it showed terrain type as Arctic, and sure enough when I got to ground combat it was an Arctic map. This is the first time I've seen the wrong type of terrain be used for a mission.
  3. During a mission I ended up with all 5 of my remaining troops inside a landing ship. As I moved into the ship looking for the last alien, suddenly the mission ended with "UFO captured" - which having read the forum I see is the expected behaviour (but it confused me a little!) Anyway, the bug I am reporting is that when the game returned to the geoscape, the landing ship was still there, and eventually flew off. Below is a link to a save game which is a few turns before the end of the mission. Just hit end turn 3 or 4 times and the mission will end and you can see the UFO is still there. Attempting to return to that same UFO causes the game to crash: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7087348/AutosaveIM2013-06-07_21.23.13_escaped.sav.zip I'm using the Steam version (V18 STABLE 30/05/2013).
  4. This is the first time I've played Xenonauts for a few months, so have started a new game. Each time I've recovered a new alien corpse, the autopsy research item is completed for it as soon as the game returns to the geoscape - before the Charlie has even returned to base. This has happened for every alien encountered so far - Caesan, Sebillian, Andron and Light Drone. I am fairly sure it has also happened each time I've captured a (new) crashed alien ship, though can't be 100% sure on this. I've been able to recreate the problem by starting another new game from scratch and playing out the first crash site mission - the autopsy and ship research items complete as soon as the game returns to the geoscape.
