[unofficial] POLL : UFOs & Being Horrible
Sneakingviper replied to Kreny's topic in Xenonauts General Discussion
I voted for the "Split only large UFO missions into two parts", since size does matter and I dont really feel the smaller need to be be on a separate mission/screen.. after all it is not the Doctor and his Tardis we are fighting... or am I mistaken something (have not looked that closely on the end level aliens )- 25 replies

Extremely lucky (or unlucky) I happened to have 2 events happen at the same time, this cause a CTD. Senario: Had a chinook going towards a crashsite, a ufo pops up and I send a interceptor. And they arrive at the same time, interceptor window pop up, I choose attack and the landing pop up happens in the second that is between attack option and the interceptor window (and I might have pressed ok to the landing ) Soooo that causes a CTD. Maybe time should be stopped when a popup occur.

Or that smoke spread the same way if inside buildings. That way if the little bugger dont come out, he will choke and get knocked out. Also visibility would become a nightmare if there is a fire.

A Nervegas/Knockout gas could be useful when wanting live aliens, however the implementation would be tricky. In the old UFO there was a white bar filling up over your health, when you are choking and when that filled out the health bar, you were knocked out (as far as I remember), maybe something similar to that.

The reaction fire seems only to activate when your xenonauts are being fired at, I have seen several aliens running right past them without them firing at them. Could be my xenonauts needs glasses though

Sorry for confusing you Gorlum, that was not my intent. I was just confused by the mix between branches in Xenonauts when it came to titles, however, that seems to be true to the original, so nevermind

Health should be trained some other way

Not to mention that shooting your own troops can also get them a Crimson Heart (+1 Bravery). So it can be quite beneficial to go postal on your rookies -
In X-Com Enemy unknown (from Microprose) commander was the highest, and captain was the highest in TFTD. http://www.ufopaedia.org/index.php?title=Rank

With the aiming system in the game, a dual yield should give a 80% chance of doing a headshot on yourself... per gun.
