  1. I stand corrected. It's worse than that; it's a bug that doesn't require the user to do anything out of the ordinary. Replicate: 1) Fire at alien. 2) Alien turns around. 3) Move until to teleporter. Unit goes to teleporter but doesn't teleport. 4) Alien reaction fires. Game is now hung.
  2. See attached. Mousing over the alien doesn't bring up the targetting reticle. I need to manually force it with Ctrl. unshootable alien.sav unshootable alien.sav
  3. To replicate: 1) Soldier fires at alien. 2) Alien survives and turns around to reaction fire (was facing away). 3) Before the reaction fire, I click my soldier to go onto one of the teleporter pads. Soldier moves onto teleporter pad. 4) Alien reaction fires and misses. Game is now locked up. Animations and sounds are playing fine but interface is non-responsive. Fortunately I saved mid-battle due to another bug.
  4. Attached save. When I load it the UFO walls etc are all missing! Ending turn it comes back. tac32.sav tac32.sav
  5. Maybe it could be altered to do some other behaviour. From my perspective of a users it looks weird to the point of my surmising it was a bug. Long strafes? Slower flying?
  6. Apologies but I must beg to differ. As I read it, the research indicates that overall there's a boost to sales due to piracy, this is taking into account the loss from the reduced sales too: it's a net fiscal benefit. You're right though that there's the invisible cost in those pirates using developer time, but some of them will be contributing positively to the community, although I'm not aware of any research on this one, so it may be net negative. Myself I do quite a bit towards Open Source so I'm used to people using my work and not contributing back.
  7. Attached. The Hunter stopped because it can see an alien. but it's not visible in the battlescape. It's a ceasean next to the water tank which becomes visible if I move. Seems that there's some sort of anomaly between vision cones and what the battlescape represents. invisible alien.sav invisible alien.sav
  8. UFO-63 which comprises two fighters and a medium seems to be spinning in place. I suspect the fighters want to shoot down my squadron while the medium wants to go about its business. spinning.sav spinning.sav
  9. Seems reasonable. Someone just needs to change a "floor" or "round" to a "ceil". :-)
  10. There's recent evidence that shows that piracy can increase sales. Rather than lament it maybe developers should embrace it? http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2014/06/13/does-online-piracy-help-boost-sales.aspx https://torrentfreak.com/what-piracy-removing-drm-boosts-music-sales-by-10-percent-131130/ http://torrentfreak.com/bittorrent-piracy-boosts-music-sales-study-finds-120517/ and so on. === Personally I don't do it for indie games. But they must be available DRM free, and there must be a Demo. Xenonauts fails the latter but I've been following it for the last couple years so I was fairly sure it'd be ok.
  11. That's fine (even if non-obvious as it's a somewhat pyrrhic victory). Except I suspect it shouldn't be flying around at 0% health. ;-)
  12. I had a soldier that I *think* was killed by a reaper (don't remember seeing it; maybe it happened offscreen?). Anyway, I ended up wondering where my soldier was and when I went to look for him, he was standing in the fog of war but was unselectable. There wasn't an icon for his stats. It seems that the sprites didn't update. I saved the game but when I re-loaded the soldier was showing as being dead. It's the bloody splotch with the first-aid kit in the middle of the screen of the save. Maybe that'll help. Stuck soldier.sav Stuck soldier.sav
