1. Ah, I had just downloaded the game, and I assumed it was running the latest fix. Sorry.
 2. Rhetorical question? I had previously explored that entire map, and I didn't see any fire; can the aliens extinguish flames?
 3.

Thanks.

 4. Loading the same autosave mentioned in my last two posts (I was going to attach the file on this one, but it seems to have been deleted), I immediately aborted the mission with all my soldiers inside the carrier craft. Mission debrief claimed that two aliens had been killed. I didn't kill anything; I didn't so much as move. I did this same thing once more with the same result, then the autosave disappeared (possibly I accidentally deleted it; I'm not sure what happened exactly).
 5.

Welcome to the forums!

 6. Loading from the autosave at the start of the same mission mentioned here: http://www.goldhawkinteractive.com/forums/showthread.php/4638-v18-Ground-Combat-game-hung-on-mission-failure-end-turn ...I was able to work my way into the enemy ship. Unfortunately, the camera wouldn't let me see the interior of the ship even when multiple soldiers were inside. I died
 7. I was getting my butt kicked hard in an October mission for a downed scout ship; my last soldier died of a bleedout. "End Turn" caused the game to cease responding.
 8. From the start menu, I loaded my most recent save file (not an autosave). I then decided that I wanted to load from an earlier autosave. The game stopped responding when I confirmed the load.
 9. I was forwarding through September ('79, or whatever the initial year is) at top speed, then I was notified of a UFO landing (I think this was my third encounter notification). I engaged, spread out my troops, and ended my turn. That was it; the mission debriefing claimed that 0 alien units were present.
