Even though shows as equipped it does not seem to be taking damage and the sprite does not show the shield.

just noticed that when my soldiers grab a plasma rifle from the cold dead hands of the xeno's and I complete the mission. I dont get paid for those guns and I dont get to keep the guns what happens to them?
