  1. I have this issue also, i get only one map (of the industrial flavour) and it is exactly the same every tac mission i go on. getting kinda bored of it. I have heard mention all over other posts about farm maps etc but i havent had a single one yet. (have played about 20 odd ground missions) ps. version 15.1 desura stylz

I get this same bug but also after it crashes (which it inevitably does when there are invisible units on the map) and i reload a tacmap save all non xenonaut units are now invisible, cops civvies and aliens and the game will crash as soon as i either shoot an invisible alien (if i can find them) or as soon as i hit end turn (i get the feeling this is because a cop will shoot an alien) Do you think the fix will solve my issue as well?
  3. i'm new to this as well McArnar, there is a "workaround" thread but its pretty dated and none of the workarounds seem to be applicable anymore. I have all of these same issues, clipping doesn't seem to cause any problems apart from aesthetic (spelling?) issues and we just have to deal with it. Invisible characters and crashing when you shoot at them happens to me as well, especially when i try to load a tacmap save (which i only do after a CTD, im not one of those reload after xenonaut dies types). and the combat hangs are a constant problem for me too. apparently removing civvies fixes the issue but i did that a couple of days ago and still had plenty of problems so i put them back in as the game is so much more immersive (lol at spell-check, maybe i spelt it wrong but it wants to change "immersive" with "immersible", is that some kind of submarine with an awesome suspenseful atmosphere?) with them in there. Somebody JUST posted a fix for invisible aliens but im waiting for him to reply with a little more detail on how to do the workaround as i don't want to destroy my game files. ps. i had alot of issues with corrupted save games early on and one of the workarounds that seems to have worked pretty well so far is NOT to save the game when there are ANY aircraft OR terror missions OR crash sites on the map ie. only save when the only thing visible on the geoscape is your base. Also tacmap saves almost always become instantly corrupted for me and if i can get them loaded without an instant CTD when i click loadgame, the map loads up and all characters are invisible and the game will CTD as soon as i kill one.
  4. I learned pretty early on the the piece that the ballistic rifle is pretty lame. I rock shotguns to breach and the g3's as the standard small arm for the rest. I had to ditch the hunter as it seemed to be causing alot of ctd's for me so I usually have at least 2 blokes armed with smaws aswell. And lots of grenades for everybody. Also when you go to nade don't target the alien, target a ground tile next to him seems like they almost never miss if you do that. The general tactic is scout with shotgun fellas and use a firing line of snipers and rockets to sort any recce'd aliens out. Plus it's not that unrealistic, I'm sure the aliens would have some amazing personal armour. oops seems like i quoted the wrong post

Same here, downloaded yesterday and am loving the game except that in about 5 hours of gameplay i have had to restart 3 times and have CTD more times than i can count under SO many different circumstances. My most recent one appears to be when a squadron gets back to base from a interception i CTD. having said that i experienced a whole host of CTD and save game corruptions just before that and had to revert to an earlier autosave.
