Sure, what happened was: I clicked to launch it on the geoscape, equipped the squad, then clicked to launch the operation on the armory, standard stuff, but then the game brought me back to the Geoscape and nothing happened and then I was unable to launch it again, nothing would happen if I clicked on the launch operation button. Then I saved, loaded the file, launched the operation from the geoscape, did the whole squad equipping again, and then it worked normally. user_fudeu-39.json
  3. The last of my suggestion topics I swear, but I also felt like this is not explored correctly in the game. I love the UOO idea, a giant terror weapon subduing humanity, no one knows where it will hit, every citizen of every large city on earth would have to live with this while the station is up! But in the game, when it hits, it only increases panic in the target region. I feel like this is too little, imagine seeing online the scenes of a large city destroyed, millions dead, and thinking you could be next, it would cause a mass exodus from large urban concentrations, massive economic disruption, it dosent matter if humanity by that point is united on fighting to the death, the damage both material and moral would be immense, its like being nuked every two weeks... I think the number right now is 35 regional panic, it shoud be like 20 regional plus 15 global in my opinion, maybe on commander it could fire a little faster? Every 10 days? In my Veteran playtrough I was able to "live with it" just fine, while I got my team ready, and I mean the generated panic was easily manageable, going down to 0 a few weeks after the firing, also the Aliens were kind to split the destruction between continents, lol.

The story hints that the Aliens may have some extra tricks left, since they shouldnt be able to spawn battleships or anything larger than a scout by that point in the story, I dont know if I missed something, but thats an open plot point that could be exploited maybe? Something like they are going all in to destroy humanity and earth once and for all, since the war is escaping their control. Just a tought.
  5. Finally finished a run on Veteran and I was thinking about this, is there any rush to launch Operation Endgame? I mean, sure, some battleships and harversters spawn, but nothing you cant deal easily, specially since you are obscenely rich by this point. I took my time, about 40 days to make everything ready and noticed no increase in immediate threat. Launched it on day 399. I dont know what happens, if anything at all, if you decide to wait like 3-4 months before launching, it would be nice if you had a timer or something, difficulty wise.
  6. Had the same bug today, the first time I tried to launch it nothing happened. Then I saved, reloaded, launche again and it worked...
  7. Yeah, its highly situational, but still, if its in the game at least it has to be of some use. Maybe if they were better it would enable different strategies regarding base placement.
  8. Did some research, a F-18 can raise its capacity by roughly 70% with external tanks. Granted, the Angel in this game is developed on the chassis of a Foxbat from Orcland, wich always make things more difficult, but maybe 50% would be a reasonable number?

Just a minor thing, but I feel they really could use a buff, 20% is nothing, WW2 era tech improved the range of american P-51 aircraft by almost 100%, giving up armor for such a minor improvement in range is borderline useless in my opinion... Had this situation in my current campaing, where UFOs were causing havoc in another continent because the local squadron was heavily damaged and engaging would be suicide, tought I could make a Hail Mary attack with a distant squadron without armor and fuel pods on, but got disappointed when I discovered how little the fuel pods improved range, I dont know if its a balance thing or just an oversight, anyway, just my 2 cents!

  13. Happened to me quite a few times, I intercepted a lone UFO or escorted UFO, auto-resolved it, got a failure message but all my aircraft got out alive. When I accepted this result(mainly due to distraction, thinking it was sucessful since my aircraft survived) the game would respawn that same UFO(always without the escorts) somewhere near the interception point, and my aircraft would be just fine, in the same location but damaged due to the previous battle. The same thing happened when I tried to intercept an observer but the god damn thing escaped in the air battle minigame, It respawned in a nearby location, instead of staying in the same place when I got back to the geoscape. BTW, its not just an observer UFO thing(because it could very well end in a failed interception even if I got out alive) it happened with scouts and destroyers also.
  14. I agree that heavy armor right now is a no brainer, except maybe for snipers, but sometimes not even that, specially mid-late game. Anyway, I also agree that the focus should be on stomping bugs, you cant risk a release with the CTDs and issues we have right now.
