xracer
maybe is not a bug but in version 8.61 from the beginning you had the possibility of building training center this is no longer available in v8.
resonansER
Yes. is very interesting. In version 8.62 removed the ability to build a training center, but added the ability to train soldiers Where is the logic?
Chris
Because the training system was originally going to be a much more extensive system, but now it's been streamlined and doesn't require building for it any more. So we removed it.
resonansER
What is the reason simplification of training?
Okim
1. Now it costs per soldier. This means that you wont be able to mass-produce experienced troopers after paying one-time cost of building. 2. Saves space on base and reduces required manipulations. Thus saves player`s time and makes it less irritating. 3. A a room with a projector can`t train a soldier with all required skills, you know Assume that soldier is being sent to elite training centers equipped with everything required to improve his skills. BTW, can we have a random increase per skill after completing training course/getting a promotion? +2 to all does not sound that well. 1-3 would be much more interesting, introducing variety and randomness. I agree. This is reasonable. But then I am for what to send soldiers to train in specialized training centers. How it is implemented in the game UFO-ET. Or develop and implement such a system may even better

How it is implemented in the game UFO-ET.Or develop and implement such a system may even better i don't ever recall UFO:ET having training centres, your troops gained xp from hits and kills, and on level up you could then distribute the points that came with the level up into any of the stats you want. i don't ever recall the training centre. the only training centre i do recall is that of X-com apocalypse, and that tended to give randomish ability boosts based on the training type the solidier/hybrid did. (training for accuracy, strength etc, psi gyn for well... psionics)
Chris
Basically the training system we had in mind didn't really add anything to the game, so we removed it. It was a fairly pointless layer of management that did nothing if it was not very powerful and replaced combat (which defeats the point of the game) if it was powerful enough to make a difference.
