9.4 Lists of Bugs i found

1st: Sometimes the game freezes on "hidden" movement.

2nd: When mission ends while civilian hidden movement, the steps FX continues to sound.

3rd: On farm soldiers don't respect the walls of the barn closer to the chinook (they pass through them) and lower door doesn't open when soldiers enter.

4th: When shooting a fighter with only one F-17 (what insures not destroyed but crash landed) it always says that the UFO "crashes into the sea" even in shot on land. The crash site is NOT created.

5th: When aliens shoot Xenonaults the screen doesn't follow the shot, making difficult to know if any of our soldiers was hit or if it was a miss.

6th: You cant overwrite saved games

7th: Soldiers on normal armor change to chackal animation while giving 1st aid

8th: On a mission "Aliens terrorize Kabul" in hidden movement i see shadows moving without units associated. The game freezes.

Rather than that, i'm impressed with the progress Chris, since i was away from xenonauts some months.

Yep. Game froze again on "Hidden Movement screen" during a farmland mission after a few turns. I do like the fact that I was careless and took a shot with a civilian in the way and hit the civilian. I will learn to be more careful.

The HMF (Hidden Movement Freeze) is a known bug that the AI coder is working on fixing right now. To get a workaround check the "workaround" thread here -> http://www.goldhawkinteractive.com/forums/showthread.php/1011-The-workaround-thread (likely you already knew that but just in case!)

3rd: I have noticed the walking through walls bug on the new terror mission map as well.

4th: That's been happening and IIRC is being worked on!

8th: I see shadows moving around too but thankfully my game didn't freeze. Still seeing odd shadows move around on the map but nothing being there is also a bug. The game freezing due to that might be a second bug related to it - not sure as I was unable to duplicate the freeze.

The walking through walls thing is incorrect sprites being set. What's really helpful is taking a screenshot and circling the offending tiles so I know where to look in the editor to update them. I'll let Matthew respond to the rest of these though.

4th: not generating a crashsite is not a bug, that is working as intended. It's just displaying the wrong message. Escort ships will AFAIK not generate crashsites even when they are by themselves.

Bombers has also been reported to not generate any crashsite so I'm assuming they are escorts as well.

6th: You can overwrite if you name it exactly the same.. but yes it's tricky and there should be easier ways to overwrite =P

8th: I believe Chris said he hadn't put the sprites in for the civilians or something in terror missions yet. Yep here it is:

5) We'll add some civilians for the terror map. They're currently there, but don't have sprites so are invisible.

1. Some minor text overlapping on Mission complete screen. Some repeating footstep sounds on mission complete screen.

2. Minor animation issue with soldiers jumping over walls.

3. Game freeze once on HIDDEN MOVEMENT screen.

4. Some walking through barn walls.

othello are you... making/posting your own list of bugs?

Keeping track of bugs reported in a list is harder then if they are reported as seperate topics. Keeping track of a bug in a list posted in someone elses topic seems like makeing it a much harder job for Matthew then it needs to be.

Would you mind makeing a new topic (after searching and makeing sure the bugs doesn't already have their individual topics. If they do please post about that bug in that topic) for each bug?

And please provide more info on stuff like 2 and 4. It's very difficult to identify the problem with that short description of it.

So as Chris said: The sprites and the pathing will be set. The rest:

2nd: Known issue.

4th: Fighters and bombers never leave crash sites, and the displayed text will be fixed soon.

5th: Known issue. (You can check the healt bar on your turn, and the soldiers moan when hit).

6th: You can.
