After having a game for months I've yet to see a terror attack. In one game I had 3 Alien Bases discovered (which I let grow out of control and had to end the game) and still no terror attacks. Is that normal. Are terror attacks dropped from the game?

Edit: I looked back through the pages in this thread and it seems like the terror missions are just really really rare. Is that correct? I played through to like March or so and never saw one.

Terror missions are not so rare but you take down the ufo which has terror mission easily.. So you dont see it or base assault so often. The reason is the terror mission UFO is a standart ufo u fight at that time. So there is no difficulty to shut it down. At original UFO, the terror mission UFO was much more powerful then ordinary ufos and it goes much more faster to mission rather then flying for hours at your radar.. AND the terror missions dont add any new thing to game, i didnt bother with it.. because i got big plans to add terror missions and base assault to game with so many new aspects..

0.99 :) will have special forces for terror missions and base assaults. The ufo with this mission will be next generation one.. If you fight against landing ships, terror/base assault mission UFO's will be cruisers with heavy interceptors... So you will still have chance to down them but you need to concentrate on it.. The drops from that missions let you make very important updates in game..

I get a slight accuracy bonus to my next attack whenever I reload a save game with a soldier selected. (If I cycle through attack choices or select anything else the bonus is removed). Is this a built in feature?

Edit: Seems like this bonus is only there for the first couple seconds after loading then it goes away.

Also one of my soldiers got stuck in the middle of some stairs on an industrial map. (could not move out)

1.00 Release wont come so early. After 0.99, there will be a balance/test period before 1.0.. 0.99 is work in progress but i am waiting for CE versions to give me more softcoded material to mod. I need some more freedom at moding to give you more "clean" version. 0.99 will be a huge step rather then just adding something to game.. it will change it like a full expansion.. probably like a new game. So kabills and ilunaks updates to CE version is vital for my plans. Chris wont make a xenonauts 2 in short terms so i want to give you a totally new experience at UFO games with X-Division..

About Ajaxial's mod, i am very happy about it and him.. 0.98 got some big balance issues at beginning and late game. I saw this when i was calculating 0.99 stats. I am so concentrated on 0.99, i even forget what 0.98 had. So i dont have time to return back to 0.98 and balance it by myself. It's very nice to do this someone who plays and knows what to do for this balance issues. 0.98 got very nice research/manufacture chain and items sorted.. there was only needed a good balance check and Ajaxial done this for me..

I would like to add to this if I may Drages. Firstly I'm VERY thankful to Drages for letting me have the chance to do this and let me make a minimod to his expansion. (Lets be honest here, X-Division isn't just a mod, it is in many aspects an expansion in terms of the sheer amount of content it brings to the table)

Secondly I really need feedback from people playing X-Division using the Balance mod so that I can tweak and ammend any issues that may arise during play if any do at all arise. Buffing up the techs and throwing it out there is all fine and dandy but to actually make it work as intended is an entirely different matter.

I'm jumping between making my own mod. (A mixture of my own Xenonauts vision and learning to make larger scale edits) and keeping the balance mod tweaked and balanced. Again feedback and ideas is much needed and appreciated in this regard from people whom use it. :)

So Radek if you yourself do use it. Please do leave feedback in the thread for that balance mod in regards to the weapon balance for that minimod so I can make further edits. I am hoping to make tweaks to all weapons. Especially as there are many tiers of Kinetics, Lasers and such. Rather than the vanilla one tier per type if that makes sense?

So far I've touched up on the two Kinetics and base laser tech. Which is a solid basis to keep the player fighting semi equally against the three races. But there is still work to do and ideas and feedback would be really REALLY appreciated. :)

Thanks for quick answers. I think I will wait till 0.99. I would like to play it but I havent got much time so im rly afraid of bugs (dont want to ruin my first attempt).

There is nearly no bug (maybe some visual) at 0.98. I never go to another version before i make old version no bug. You can begin-finish it safely. The only issue was balance and it's handled better now. Of course your choice.

install game with GOG update to 1.59. then install CE RC3 (or should I use 2?)

install skitsos ultimate megamix map pack + skitsos Alien base booster pack

extract xdivision in mod folder update 3 times and then use that balance patch.

Play.

so what I am doing wrong?

Are you sure that you install everything for X-Division? I mean Base file, 0.98.1, 0.98.2 and hotfix 4.. you should extract them at this order with total about 2.2 gb should be the xdivision folder.

yes I am sure I installed all the fixes for Xdivision! do I need to load CE 32 HF3 with the "modding Tools" when using version 1.59?

JUst get 0.33 from HERE, extract it to mod folder and start game from the exe file with comes 0.33...

If you installed X-Division and CE right, there should be no problem..

In my game, I lost when Alien Outpost spawn in the world. It's possible to won this mission when they spawn or I need to wait for being more stronger?

In early game, do you have advice for me? I don't know where i need to use my money. UFO ruin my income, I need to rush 2/3 base for cover the world?

Another question, it's possible to destroy corvet UFO on early game? I don't have enough ammos for that.

Ho, sell the alien weapon, I tryied that for my next game.

You should not see corvette at early game. If you didnt play the game unmodded, i advise you to play so first because this mod is complex enough..

Not an early game but when they spawn after 2/3 month, i can't destroy them, i don't have aircraft weapon for that. I play the game unmodded.

Luckily I power rushed my way through the research tree to get myself the better Alenium explosives and aircraft. It makes a world of difference in the air superiority game. Ground combat can always be worked around to a certain degree with planning and patience. But the airgame sometimes just NEEDS the firepower and tech.

Don't get me wrong. The ground game needs tech also, but only when you start hitting Androns. Caesans and Sebillians can be dealt with using only Kinetic and careful gameplay and tactics.

The airgame is what I always put in the forefront. Rule that, and you make all other aspects of the game a million times easier. At-least that works for me anyway.
