Alandroid
I have had more than one occasion where I quit the game then loaded back up later or the next day and noticed I needed some more soldiers and I couldn't remember if I had hired some more or not already and they just hadn't made it to base yet. So my question is can I see troops en route status?
BuzuBuzu
In short, no you can't. It'd be nice if you could though. You can always run a raffle for the extra guys you end up hiring to see who can make a reaper swallow a grenade.
kentsfield
No, but soldiers en route will take up living quarters space, so you can figure it out with some basic math.

CraftyGoblin
I was also disappointed in this as it's very handy to know and was easy to see in the original. Not sure if you're aware but you can see this info for scientists at least (not sure about engineers). After you order scientists, if you go back into the hire/fire screen it will show your number of scientists, plus the number you have in transit appearing in parenthesise next to it. The same is not true for Soldiers unfortunately.
