[V1.0 - Ground Combat] Animation missing with laser sniper rifle

Hello,

If a soldier fires (when he is crouching, and northwest) with a laser sniper rifle and Jackal Armor, there is no animation, like this screenshot : http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2014/23/1401902306-xenonauts.png

I recently purchased and started the game, so I don't know if there are other similar problem.

I'd just like to confirm that this bug is present as of 1.02.

It's happening with other Jackal/Laser weapon combinations as well; I've seen it with both the Precision Laser and Laser Carbine, usually when the unit hasn't moved since the previous turn.

Thank you for your answers, I haven't tried other combinations, but this is easily reproducible with laser sniper rifle / Jackal Armor, because there never animations (northwest).

Thanks for the report. But now the game's released we're only patching game-breaking issues so we minimise the risk of screwing up people's mods / introducing major new bugs into the game.

Ok, it's not a good new (especially for an old report, and because the game have others bug without crash), but it's not really important.

You can try to create a new one by merging the ones for laser precision + basic armour and laser rifle + jackal armour. If you do that, I can add it to the community edition.

Which file(s) would that be exactly? I do not have that.

If you have buy DRM free version, it's in your game folder : assets>units>xenonaut>armour.jackal>weapon.laserprecision>crouchburstshoot_nw

If you have activate the game on Steam, it's per default in : Computer>OS C:>Program Files>Steam>SteamApps>common>Xenonauts>assets>units>xenonaut>armour.jackal>weapon.laserprecision>crouchburstshoot_nw

And certainly the same if you have buy the game on Gog.com, on Gog.com folder default.

Ah, well spotted, thanks. That's a burst fire animation, which is unused for laser precision. I've managed somehow to reuse it for the normal shot, so this will be in X:CE 0.28.
