  1. Just caught one of my soldiers doing that. This [edit]also happened sometime before in previous build, didn't end so well either - some poor dude walked through a wall right into an office building and crashed into a copier, remained stuck there until the rest of the battle. I suppose the salvage team had to cut him out of there afterwards. Seriously though, I think this is related to how some stupid aliens end up stuck in various farm equipment. save files: http://share.cx.com/KpYkzg
  2. Playing xenonauts again for the first time in a while, loving the bugfixes and stuff implemented since I last played. But one thing is pissing me right off. Walls. Specifically the fact that aliens keep on doing this: crouching on the 'far' (from the isometric standpoint) side of a wall. This makes it, as far as I can tell, impossible to target them directly. I lost four soldiers trying to kill an alien who was in the open, suppressed and about three meters away. Because of this. Am I missing something or is this an issue with the isometric layout? If so is it going to be addressed?
  3. After blowing up a wall with a demo charge, and waiting for the fire to go out, I could not get a path through the opening. I had shot it first with a shotgun and rifle, if that makes any difference.
  4. I am sorry if this has already been asked, I was interested in this game about a year ago, forgot about it for a while and then got reminded of it when it came onto Steam yesterday. I know already that there is no way to rotate the PoV and no plans for that to be added due to needing 4x as many sprites. My question is, is there a way to toggle sprites that block the view of things that are visible to your units (such as building walls)? I have found several times in the few missions I have played so far where my units can see the alien forces but I can not see them and the only way for me to target the alien is if I know the general area that it is and then wave my mouse around that area until the cursor changes icons, this can be quit aggravating specially if you didn't realize you could see the alien there and you get a unit killed just because you didn't see something that was perfectly visible to your unit due to another sprite covering it up.
  5. It happened in two Crash sites in Africa tileset. The soldiers walked straight through the cockpit. It happened only when the dropship was located with a SE orientation (like the screenshot). When a UFO crashed in the same vicinity, the map was a different one, with a different dropship orientation, so no walkthrough was possible. *EDIT: Applied Hotfix2. Problem still there!
  6. OK, this issue has been repeatedly reported as a bug, but I'm unclear as to what people mean. There are two possible issues: 1) On loading a saved ground combat game, not all the elements load correctly. The UFO walls and floors don't seem to load correctly, which is a known bug and this will lead to aliens being able to shoot through the walls of their UFO. This is definitely a bug and we'll fix it up. 2) People are also reporting aliens are able to shoot through solid objects, including UFO walls. I can't reproduce this, so I'm not sure if it's actually a bug or people are just misinterpreting the symptoms. A few key facts: Aliens have shared sight, just like the player does. If one alien can see your soldier, they can all shoot at him / her. UFO doors autoclose at the start of the player's turn, so if an alien opens the door to their craft to shoot out (or just runs through it), it will appear closed when the player sees it during their turn. These two facts could lead to a situation where people thought the aliens were shooting through walls as they were firing from beyond LOS, potentially "through" the UFO door that was actually open at the time - although this would only happen if the aliens were shooting out of the shroud at you. Is that a possibility or is there definite evidence that aliens are able to shoot through UFO walls or other solid objects in a ground combat mission that has not been loaded from a save game?
  7. I think that if someone stands behind a wall or an object that completely covers the soldier the walls should either get a cut off view (dunno correct name for it) or even get semi transparant which perhaps is the easiest way to handle it. So that we can easily see when someone is behind a wall or large object. Ultimately even if you mouse over an object or wall it could go semi transparant so we can fully explore the map. I think this would greatly help controlling your operatives. Been a while since I tried the game now and perhaps something like it has been added, in that case, just ignore this
  8. When a unit vaults over a wall and has not moved from the tile he advanced onto it doesn't look like he's on the other side of the wall, it looks like he's on top of the wall. It's tiny graphic hiccup that makes the world a little bit flat but aside from that I'm pretty much in love with what I've played of the demo! Cannot wait for the full game!
