  1. hey , I finished my first mission on a new game , I got to the scoreboard and I got 0 on every single section at the top of the scoreboard I had a "Place Holder" Text no screenshot , didn't know I would need one
  2. The game grades your performance on ground combat missions, and gives you a numerical rating. Letting civvies die hurts your score, capturing aliens instead of killing aliens helps your score. I have no idea what that score means. I know that higher is better than lower, and it has something to do with my national standings, but I really have no idea the significance of the number. Does that extra 1 point for capturing a live alien actually do anything meaningful? Is a dead civilian even worth paying attention to?
  3. The mission debriefing screen displays the score for each mission, but there are more things in the game that affect your funding score, such as downed UFOs, destroyed fighters, alien activity, and so on. Perhaps the geoscape news tickers and pop-up windows could also notify the player of how each event affects his score?
  4. What exactly do points earned ingame through ground combat missions and other mission types do to as a benefit for the player ? Does it counter react and/or effect the aliens global score ?
  5. EDIT: We're looking for the $ multiplier that's applied to score to determine monthly funding. In gamesconfig it says it should be $1,000, but it's probably actually $500. ------------------- Anyone know if there's a multiplier that we can adjust to allow us to score ~100 in a UFO mission but not have funding jump by ~50k? (Obviously the workaround is to adjust mission scores to the 5-15 range, but that'll likely feel less fun, as well as requiring a little more work. )
  6. Hey everyone - I need to know a couple quick things and this seemed like the best place to put them. Is there some sort of way to make your guys NOT die? Like some sort of invincibility code or a way to give them crazy health so they don't die? In order to facilitate testing the maps for walls you can move through it would be seriously helpful to be able to do either of those things. I just can't make the battle on the terror map, which is a big map, last long enough to explore the buildings on the far... well left side I'd guess it is. The houses across the park on the far side of the map from where you start. Secondly, and maybe I'm just awful at this, but I am struggling to end the terror mission with POSITIVE points. That's even if I lose only one unit. Civilian deaths + one alien escapes already subtracts on average for me thus far 8 points... and there's 9 aliens. So even best case I'm getting only 1 positive point here. If you lose the tank you are just boned because that's -5! Is this the final point balancing or not - anyone know?
