  1. Can't you offer a 'Shield Pack' DLC for free? That way, people who want them, can download them and add them to the game, while those concerned about HDD space of downloading a large game can do without.
  2. It can't hurt to sell the digital artbook etc for a longer period.
  3. Because most of the tiers now offer something extra besides the game in each tier, would you ever consider doing what a lot of other projects do and using paypal again to offer tiers for a extended period of time? Or are you too burned by them legally or otherwise? I find it weird how a lot of projects seem to use paypal without trouble considering how bizzare they are over pre-orders.
  4. http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/22/xcom-delayed-again-to-fiscal-2014/ Some articles to piggyback.
  5. Did Xenonauts get coverage somewhere? It's halfway past 90k and it wasnt above 90k a few hours ago.
  6. All i can say about Kicking it Forward is, Brian Fargo usually tweets a link to the project to his 7500 followers and i believe a few of the gaming projects also had raised funding beforehand.
  7. That's a trend though, not a projection. It's based on the average daily, which includes the huge bump in the first few days. Unless it gets some fresh coverage, your looking at 1-2k a day for another few weeks, with a final bump. So 100-150k. Some details on the concept art book and poster, like a new update with fresh concept pictures and screenshots showing some unreleased stuff might generate some more buzz, even a new video. These things are about a mixture of exposure, exciting tiers and interest in the game.
  8. Whenever i play x-com type games, im gonna feel like Gorman now
  9. A friend of me has suggested he finds it hard to get interested in the game, because partly, the website isn't updated and it has only a few pictures on it. I suspect for many people, who may not have the time or inclination to get the demo, might be more inclined to give it a go if the website was a bit more up to date and had a bit more variety in pictures. Plus maybe incorporate the news into the landing page so people can tell the game's still making progress and they can find about the kickstarter immediately without clicking news, maybe a x-com style news ticker on the screen. It's sad to say, but a lot of people tend to make snap judgments and when you click on xenonauts, it looks rather static.
  10. Did Ars Tech get a press demo? http://arstechnica.com/business/2012/05/kickstarter-game-watch-from-rohrer-to-republique/ They're doing a kickstater watch every week.
  11. I got the impression it could be stuff from underground military bases, to the helicopter landing on top of a large building's roof and you fighting floor to floor.
