  1. Sorry for the thread necromancy, but since I'm an Israeli, I could definitely help with this project. For starters, I'd use Sayeret Matkal rather than Golani Brigade. After all, they were, and still are, a major anti-terrorist and deep-recon special force belonging to the IDF Military Intelligence. Golani are regular infantry, though they have also have a Sayeret (spec-force unit) of their own. Oh, and Entebbe was in 1976. Shayetet 13 (naval special forces) or even Tzanchanim (paratroopers) could also be good backgrounds. Both Six Day war and Yom Kippur War should be backgrounds, though most younger soldiers who fought in the former have also fought, at least as reserve personnel, in the latter. A few Israeli first names: Aharon Alon Amos Arie Ariel Assa Assaf Aviel Avigdor Avner Avraham Baruch Binyamin Dani David Efrayim Ehud Eitan Eliyahu Gadi Hannanel Hannanya Hayim Idan Menachem Menashe Mordechai Moshe Natan Pinhas Refael Roi Shaul Shlomo Shmuel Yaakov Yehoram Yigal Yisrael Yonatan Yossef Zalman Zvi A few Isreali last names: Aharon Ashkenazi Barak Bar-Zohar Bar-Yochai Carmel Cohen Cogen Dayan Eitan Gilad Golan Goldschmit Goldstein Greenberg Gur Hudeda Joel Landau Levi Laskov Maoz Maor Menashe Moscowitz Perri Sharon Shimoni Shapira Simhoni Stein Tavor Tzanaani Tzanchani Tzarfati Yagoda Hope this helps!
