  1. Great news! A minor hint: I'll be on vacation starting this Saturday, and I'll have plenty of time to sink into game testing related activities. I wouldn't mind being hit with a key.
  2. The game will be out on August 20th under the new name The Bureau: XCOM Declassified. For more info, head over to Rock, Paper, Shotgun.
  3. Correct. The Wasteland 2 team have set up a so-called "Late Backer Store" on the game's official website, though.
  4. I liked it. So much, in fact, that I played it through twice.

    The X-FILES

I watched through the whole series last year and loved almost every minute of it. I'm not sure whether Chris Carter & Co. were planning on extending the storyline to a fourth season, but unlike The X-Files, I didn't think Millennium ended on a bum note.
  6. In an unsurprising turn of events, Firaxis have announced the first serving of DLC for XCOM: Enemy Unknown. It's apparently heavy on narrative. Looky here.
  7. If the Kickstarter FAQ is to be trusted, Xenonauts will also see a DRM-free release on GamersGate and possibly on the game's website with the Humble Store handling the payments.
  8. Had "Whichever works best" been a poll option, that would've been my choice. That said, Chris's arguments in the original thread won me over, but I seem to be in the minority here.
  9. Chris's holiday set back the release date, and the team decided that the game could use some testing before they go beta. Two relevant threads here and here.
  10. The co-op portion of Left 4 Dead 2 is probably the game I've sunk most hours into. From my perspective, it offers a ton of replay value, and as an added bonus, comes with all the content from the original game.
  11. Yes, please! As to the fish, I'm sorry, I don't do that stuff.
  12. This is precisely why I requested that wiglafman1225 start a thread to pick apart the game as it stands. I, for one, would like to hear what Chris has to say about the issues he has brought forth.
  13. With such a chip on your shoulder, why not start a thread of your very own to air your grievances instead of raining on other people's parades?
  14. I think I'm seeing red on the list of currently active users.
  15. On a somewhat related note, I've never gotten over the cancellation of Obsidian's Aliens RPG. Sure, the leaked gameplay footage and the fact that Sega pulled the plug on the game when it was practically ready to ship point to it having been a dud, but the basic concept was a dream come true.
  16. I've been down with the Kickstarter campaign since day one. While I'm not exactly thrilled about the setting, Obsidian have such an imposing lot of my favourite designers working on the game that there was no way I wouldn't have pledged.
  17. The reviewer didn't seem to be as over the moon about the game as the score suggests, but I wouldn't put much faith in a world exclusive type of review in any case.
  18. Not having tried the demo, that's pretty much the only thing I can talk about with any conviction. The issue I'm most concerned about, however, is the number of maps, and its effect on the game's longevity. I'd hate to get that nagging feeling of "been there, done that" after a few playthroughs.
  19. There's also a stickied thread designated for posting additions and corrections to the map.
  20. Unless I misunderstood your feature request, the idle animations discussed in the other thread I linked to should liven up the proceedings. There'll be animated tiles as well.
