10 Good
  1. So, I've tried the newest build. I selected evasive roll and I though the X button under it was to cancel the action but turned out it's the retreat button. Ok fine. So I try to unselect it, since I don't want to reatreat a fully functionnal fighter... but I can't ! So, it would be good to be able to unselect the retreat button for when we change idea and don't want the fighter to be retreating anymore. EDIT : Ok, so I've discovered if you select the unit and click to make a new path, retreat disables itself. Still, I think it's kind of counter-intuitive to not be able to just deselect the option. I also think it needs a better icon than a "X". We're used to this icon to represent some sort of "cancel" or something.
  2. I'll check out if the game autosaved but it was a few rounds into the fight, somewhere around 10. It was my first mission so I didn't even bothered saving... I should have! It was with a m16 (or whatever the m16 is called in the game, can't remember), snap shot, with no armor. He was facing err, say all the direction a soldier can face is the numpad numbers from 9 to 1, he was facing 7. The alien was still in the fog of war but was near or inside the UFO. The energy bullet was blue, so I believe it was plasma pistol?
  3. Farm tileset. I got shot at with a reaction fire. Soldier gets hit. CTD.
  4. I forgot to take a screenshot but sometimes, the alien ship is stacked on the western border (left) thus you cannot enter the back of the ship. There was an alien in there so I couldn't get him and the mission would never end. Also, shooting with launcher on the ship walls to try to breach in don't seem to break it (could be intended... like super-strong alien alloys).
  5. As I can see, I'm not the only one who use the reserve button to move as far as the character can and then fire on the same turn. Well my idea would be to allow firing even if the reserve button is selected. It wouldn't allow to do other actions once you get to that AP reserve though to make sure you don't spend the AP needed to fire if you want a reaction fire or to shoot in the same turn. No need for an extra button, you could do both with the same button without the fiddling of having to turn it off.
  6. If you select a vehicule (Hunter) and press "i" (for inventory), it opens up the inventory of your first soldier. It is not intended since pressing the inventory icons makes a buzz "acces-denied" sound.
  7. Would be nice if you could see how much AP it cost for the basic firing with the selected fire mode in the bottom-left window (the one showing the weapon, remaining ammo and fire mode). Has it is, I need to press on the weapon as if I'm firing to see how much AP it cost to fire. Having it on the bottom-left weapon window will allow for quicker reference to better manage APs.
  8. I don't really get why you've made AP Reserve disabling shooting. Isn't what AP Reserve supposed to be for ? Making sure you don't run out of AP when moving so if you uncover an Alien, you still have enough APs to shoot? I'm guessing you made that so that your character can have reaction fire but I'm mostly using AP Reserve to make sure my character don't move too far so that I'm not out of AP if I notice a threat. Am I the only one who's using AP Reserve for that purpose?
  9. Ever considered using one of those for bug tracking/feature request ? http://getsatisfaction.com/mojang (I gave the link to the Minecraft's Getsatisfaction because the front page doesn't say much) or http://www.mantisbt.org/demo/my_view_page.php (Mantis Bug Tracker demo)
  10. I suggest making a single thread for all of the crash-to-desktop you get. I have a whole lot of CTD during my plays. I can't find a common point there, it seems very random. Last CTD was during ground combat, during Hidden Movement.
  11. If you have a AP Reserve (snap or auto) selected but don't have enough AP to shoot (like after you fired once) you can't crouch even if you have enough AP until you unselect the AP reserve. EDIT : You can't move either after shooting if you have a reserve mode selected.
  12. So, everytime I down a UFO, I then select my dropship and try to send it on the crash site but since my aircrafts are still on top of the crash site, I can't select the crash site icon until they move away. I think it's a minor annoyance than can be fixed with... well, with a bit of waiting but then again it's kind of counter intuitive. Shouldn't the Select Target Location for dropships ignore aircraft icons if they are on top of crash/terror sites?
  13. Nice a new version ! Now if I can just stop playing Skyrim to try it...
