I think that it would be a really neat idea to have a chance of getting a hull breach on a ship that you've shot down. I am not saying that there should be a hull breach at every crash site but maybe the alien ship got really messed up while it was crash landing or its outer hull was hit by too many missiles. I do not know if this was already talked about or if this is even possible but I think it would be a neat idea to shoot down an alien craft, send your men to sweep up the survivors, and then find yourself fighting aliens that are out on the field and firing on your men from inside the ship.
