  1. Meant to be. Didn't want to give reasons to stun anything you find. I might add it, but at best they'll only be worth the same as corpses.
  2. I like the chase cam myself. Watching the shots amuses me.
  3. I did this a little in my mod. The heavy armours do reduce sight range a little (not as much as vanilla), but the scout armours don't reduce, or actually increase it.
  4. Aliens have squad sight too. If one can see a trooper, they all can see them (and due to a bug they'll usually try to fire anyways).
  5. Odd, a number of people have said that research is too fast. As for terror missions, you can use smoke grenades to reduce alien hit chance and the walls of the chinook to break line of sight.
  6. I think casualty numbers per event get larger as the game progresses too.
  7. Dreadnoughts aren't in the game anymore. If you see one, its a bug.
  8. Odd, they should become obselete pretty fast, since they have no armour penetration. Androns should be pretty much immune to AK rounds.
  9. Yeah, sounds like a night mission. Since LoS updates in real-time at night, you need to keep spotters in place. It gets odd with flares since it looks revealed, but since there's no-one that can actually see that tile (uses daytime sight range for this check I think) its reported empty.
  10. The movement when clicking the command bar is an odd bug. It shouldn't be happening. Having the intercept window pop-up when clicking the world map is a nice idea, but I think left-click is to drag the map as well.
  11. Yeah. There are two major downsides to the mod (also you spelt my name wrong). 1. You get waaaay too much money. Not sure if I should fix that really, folks seem to enjoy it. 2. You start to need to scroll the stores screen to see your stuff about mid-game. There are that many items you can build. I quite like this, as you get to see how far you've come (also back-up gear if you forget to build, say, plasma grenades like I do).

  13. Could always have facial markings. You can't see them under the helmets, and the officers are literally made for their task. "Barcoding" them would just be logical.
  14. Reminds me of one of my favourite parts of TFTD. In a situation with 1 or more aliens with good line of sight, no way to move the troops in the line of fire and no-ones a good enough shot to take them out. Or they're lobstermen. Cue Sonic Pulsers from everyone who has time units. Why is this relevant? In vanilla TFTD grenades can't be destroyed by explosions, so you can utterly shred an area with explosives in a single turn. It worked about half the time, but the bigger reason was to create a huge amount of smoke.
  15. How in the world does a soldier survive a HE pack explosion if they are at ground zero?

  17. I usually just have the escorting condors shoot the bejeezus out of it with the guns. One plane acts as a decoy (hopefully the MiG) and the condors slip in behind and start firing. That or I have Alenium torps before the Corvettes arrive (and/or gatling lasers).
  18. Its in manufactures.xml. The materials field for ManTech.PowerCore has AlienAlloys instead of Alienalloys.
  19. I just get my troops to aim at the tile behind​ the alien, and they'll hit most of the time that way.
  20. I usually just attack an alien base to get a battle rifle. You can get them around the same time as plasma weapons actually.
  21. Harridans are aliens that are meant to have jump-packs, but don't use them. They are equipped with either sniper plasma or plasma cannons. Nasty buggers, with their good reaction scores and sight range. Predator can walk through walls like Androns do (Androns don't understand the concept of a 'door'). Assault shield is a beefed up combat shield. Comes after Landing ships. Only the MG-type weapons have non-standard names. Scatter Laser, Plasmacaster, Magstorm. Everything else is a 'tier' 'weapon', except the sniper-types which are precision 'tier'. Yeah, Wraiths are pretty much only with Androns. They're both hard to kill, with the Wraiths being the better shots. They also look pretty gnarly. Only alien types your list is missing is the other 2 drones. Alien weapons are Plasma Pistol, Plasma Rifle, Heavy Plasma Rifle, Sniper Plasma, Plasma Cannon, Battle Rifle. Battle Rifles are pretty nasty and powerful weapons. Only 3 vehicles. Hunter, Scimitar and Hyperion. Interceptors are Condor, Foxtrot, Corsair, Marauder and Fury. Dropships are Chinook, Shrike and Valkyrie.
  22. Yeah, 'Retaliation' sequences were triggered by shooting down ships in a region. Its actually the cause of the massive numbers of Large Scouts that a player would shoot down. And since the Retaliation scouts would fly over areas where lots of ufo's had been shot down, then shot down themselves in the same area...well, you could have multiple sequences all searching the same spot.
