well I sorted this out. if you dont untick "Run in windows" then it runs in slow motion. this could be because I have a 144hz monitor. anyways fixed it

So I am pretty sure I installed everything correctly, to a point where everything is running fine except air combat (I think). On the fastest speed planes are flying at around 1/2 normal speed I estimate. is this a recent change I overlooked or is something screwed up?

UPDATE: started the steam version! vanilla! no gun sounds! nothing! no pavement sounds etc. , the only sound I hear are doors opening. UPDATE 2: my soundblaster card reverted its settings to a 5.1 setup. Thus not playing most of the sounds I reckon. (I think I too will stick my head in the sand for a couple times...)

just got it on steam and will try the default version of that first then update it to CE, check again. then install xdivision! have to get to a birthday now though. will check in later.

maybe stupid question but please confirm that you dont need X:CE settings and X:CE Balance? I assumed XDIVISION changes those stats again.

maybe its the GOG version I dunno (I've come to hate gog so I also bought the steam version! will report back when that's running)

1 is XDIVISION 2 is XCE no XCE balance mod no XCE settings mod I placed XCE in the mod folder and then run the exe from XCE folder.

I cannot overwrite it with CE and expect it too run properly. Weird. guess I wont be using sounds then because I installed the rest properly.

alright will try that! on the CE page I read you have to load it as a mod! and that also got me to the Community edition in the launcher. Do you use 0.33? or 0.32?

just reporting here that a lot of stuff does not have sounds. had 0 crashes just lots of sounds missing. from vehicles to weapons, even the mind flay thing does not make any sound. looked in the files. sounds are there, just not being used. loaded CE and XDivision both as a mod with XDivision on top.

Alright! no more crashes. There is however one more thing: I seem to be missing a lot of sounds from weapons/ vehicles etc. they dont make noise? is that supposed to be normal because its still in beta?

yes I am sure I installed all the fixes for Xdivision! do I need to load CE 32 HF3 with the "modding Tools" when using version 1.59?

ok so I have reinstalled 3 times and I keep crashing! install game with GOG update to 1.59. then install CE RC3 (or should I use 2?) install skitsos ultimate megamix map pack + skitsos Alien base booster pack extract xdivision in mod folder update 3 times and then use that balance patch. Play. so what I am doing wrong?
