I wish he knew about Xenonauts and his thoughts.

Perhaps he does? Maybe we should send him an e-mail...
I missed the part where he says "I hate the remakes".
I did contact him about us. He ignored me. C'est la vie.

I missed the part where he says "I hate the remakes".
Think he was referring to this part on page 2?
"I thought it was a great shame because it was going down the same route as some of the previous X-COM sequels, like Interceptor and Enforcer - in other words, going completely against turn-based combat. It was a bit disappointing from my point of view and for many fans of X-COM. When from out of the blue we heard that Firaxis are doing a turn-based version, it's as if 2K are trying to cover all their bets."

I read that as "I hate the FPS and I think that 2k game are trying to make up for it by giving us a strategic turn based game". But maybe that is just me.

I did not know you speak my native language.
It's a (fairly) commonly known phrase (just like carpe diem and such), you dont need to speak French to know that phrase.
Perhaps Mr. Gollop will start work on a remake of his own?
Chris, I find it weird that he ignored you. He is obviously very sentimental about this subject and several of this game plans are in line with his vision.
Did you talk to the guy or did you talk to the telephonist?
You do know he have a brother?
his nake is Nick Gollop, they both worked on X-Com like nuts at the time. He is to be credited as much as his brother.
He might be a lot more open to your project than Julian and he live in Yorkshester. You are from England no?

Yorkshester? I'm a bit lost, where's that?
Well, E-mail might not be the best way to get his attention. Maybe he have a filter of sort related to X-Com. In 20 years a lot of crazy must have ask to show him a X-Com fan project. You have to go trough another cannal. Maybe go there in person.

I live in York, wonder if there was a way to visit him WITHOUT seeming somewhat creepy.

Only by haveing a certificate from your local psychologist (or Dr. Phil if you can manage that) stateing that you are not creepy.
Oh and comming dressed up in one of those furry suits* that make you look like a live size plush animal, offering a pitcher of orange juice.
(*Bonus if the suit acctually looks like pedobear)
PS. But to be on the safe side Call ahead :p (to make sure he likes orange juice). DS.
